Tasted by Alex G. on 3/31/2023: 90's Dujac Grand Cru and 2007 Ramonet: Slightly oxidized, drinkable but this lacked the cut and tension one would expect. (799 views)
Tasted by BradE on 11/9/2022: BBM in Atlanta: A very good bottle, in an outstanding flight. Less showy but nice. (1162 views)
Tasted by fatboi on 5/23/2022 & rated 96 points: what a difference a bottle makes. This bottle was clean as a whistle. Wine shows not sign of aging in color, nose or palate. The wine is lush but not ripe and not rich in a borderline oxidative state. Mint, eucalyptus, oak and overall balance. just delicious. 95/96
This bottle had at least another 10 to 15 yrs.
who knows what the next one will show. (1039 views)
Tasted by fatboi on 4/22/2022 & rated 93 points: Showing its age gracefully in light of the time period. The ripeness and richness are both very present. A bit honeyed but not in an overwhelming way. Though not a particularly long finish the wine remains present. Don't get the sense air or age will coax more out. drank over 3 hours. 93/94 (1071 views)
Tasted by FransS on 1/5/2022 & rated 94 points: A superb birthday dinner (Amsterdam): Ripe, a bit high acidity, gentle spicyness, frigale. showing persistence, gracious, stiil balanced, but don't wait with your last bottle(s). (1169 views)
Tasted by Bobby Burgundy on 10/26/2021 & rated 91 points: pass (1130 views)
Tasted by shifter on 6/2/2020 & rated 93 points: Coravin pour right from the cellar. Honeysuckle and vanilla punches through immediately on the nose. Great viscosity and weight. Amazing balance of acidity and minerality and sweetness on the palate. Long, lingering full finish that coats the entire mouth for minutes. This is a white Burg lovers dream right here. With air and warmth, it loses some of the mind blowing depth and becomes a bit one dimensional. Nose is a bit muted, loses viscosity, and picks up a bit of astringency on the finish. Not sure which wine to rate. 96+ at first but reduced to 92-93. (1830 views)
Tasted by Burgnick on 5/25/2020 & rated 92 points: Signature spearmint, vanilla oak and ripe yellow fruit. Good richness on the palate but missing that punchiness and power of Ramonet’s BBM. It showed better with air nevertheless. Slightly underwhelming for a Ramonet grand cru. 91-92 (1762 views)
Tasted by acyso on 12/13/2019 & rated 95 points: HDH auction at Spiaggia; 12/13/2019-12/14/2019 (Chicago, IL): This is very much to my taste. It's not reductive, and instead shows an incredibly complex, layered expression of sweet fruit, florals, and just a slight kiss of oak. A little buttery but in the best way chardonnay can be. Lovely complexity on the palate with silky richness that's very enjoyable. Clear grand cru weight, complexity, and density here. (2916 views)
Tasted by hprphf on 2/5/2019 & rated 92 points: Unexpectedly musky with hint of oxidation, but dense and powerful with minerals to back. 92 (1759 views)
Tasted by Burgnick on 12/20/2018: Muted on the nose, not showing much of ramonet’s signature spearmint. Restrained but elegant. Fine structure. Needs time. (1750 views)
Tasted by steinersing on 10/28/2018 & rated 95 points: great concentration and length - lovely tension and clean. excellent wine. (1402 views)
Tasted by Ms. Bubblehead on 7/10/2018: Compare to my note in April, the nose this time showed a bit more buttery and creaminess. Golden yellow colour; honey, butter cream on the nose, concentrated acidity with some ripeness, dried yellow flower, lemon oil. This is slightly more powerful, could be due to its young age? (1690 views)
Tasted by Ms. Bubblehead on 4/28/2018: 2007 Ramonet Bienvenue Batard Montrachet
Very concentrated with length of acidity and minerality. Medium body, yellow fruit, modest fatness (salted butter) - great balance of power, acidity, mineral, fruit, with a complex texture.
According to Clive Coates, Bienvenue has honeysuckle fragrance and a certain delicacy. I think this wine has a bit more concentration than he suggests. (1709 views)
Tasted by UTPK on 1/10/2018: Wonderful nose after 30 minutes in a decanter. Pinewood, candied oranges, rubber, minerals, wet tarmac. Starting to get mature, but still only in its start. Round attack, medium bodied with a persistance and freshness which is unbelievable. Love this! (1345 views)
Tasted by ttholst on 8/29/2017 & rated 94 points: Produsenttypisk. Fløtekaramell (1371 views)
Tasted by LWI on 8/29/2017 & rated 94 points: Puligny-Montrachet: Intriguing, complex, quite high acidity, some lemon candy. Delightful finish. Lovely wine, indeed. (2042 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 8/28/2017 & rated 92 points: Dyp nese, sitrus, stein, et kjemisk komponent og et ørlite alkostikk.
Ikke helt overbevist over denne.
Svær og konsentrert.
God friskhet.
Imponerende lang finish.
Vingler litt på denne, men er likevel interessant. (1299 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 3/13/2017: There’s a beautifully fine, acid base to this wine. It has some white mushroom, spearmint cream and white peach aromas and flavours. It is elegance personified. (1423 views)
Tasted by Alex G. on 2/4/2017: Bright fruit, a polished wine that showed rather well. This wine is in a good place now, but certainly no rush to drink this has upside. (1213 views)
Tasted by JulianSkeels on 1/31/2017 & rated 93 points: Lovely balance between rich ripe fruit (think stone fruit) and acidic tension with some mineralite on the finish. Herbal note initially dominated, becoming resin before pecorino and finally popcorn. Nice wine, although overshadowed a bit by the power of the 81 Perrieres served alongside. Plenty of time here, I would hold a bit and drink 2020-2030. (1481 views)
Tasted by CMallard on 8/15/2016 & rated 92 points: Perfect cork, level. Decanted. Initial yeasty nose of oak notes on the palate integrate well within minutes of decanting. Wine has enormous potential and can age (although highly drinkable now). A very very slight off note on this bottle prevents full enjoyment, but a perfect bottle could be a 94-95 score. (1471 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 3/10/2015: The 2007 Ramonet Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru was indeed pristine and damn close to wine of the night for mine. It had a wonderful perfume of pure white peach, spearmint and Arum lilies. It was elegant yet full, lacy and long in the mouth and left a fine minerally imprint once swallowed. (2043 views)
Tasted by BradE on 8/10/2014: Favre 3.0 Friday Night.: There was an off note that kept me from enjoying this. Would love to try a good bottle. (2927 views)
Troppo giovane. (2565 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
