Succulent. (2251 views)
(2259 views)
Tasted by Greybeard on 7/11/2010 & rated 89 points: A delightful fresh honey nose, light and subtly floral. Beautifully smooth and caressing with a good balance of acidity to counteract the obvious residual sugar, this is still off-dry but with elegant floral and honey flavours coming out of a rich textural mouthfeel and a slight herbal bitterness throughout to add interest. 88-89pts (3710 views)
Tasted by Weston3220 on 5/25/2010 & rated 88 points: WSET Level 3 Week 8 Rest of France (Downtown Vancouver [AI School]): Clear, Med Lemon Gold Core, Slight hint of Brassiness, showing significant legs.

On the Nose, Clean, Med+ Intensity, Showing Developing Chartaristics, Honey, Pear, Spice, Mineral, White Mushroom [Campbells Mushroom Soup], Touch Floral

On the Palate, Dry, Maybe a touch of Residual Sugar, Low+ Acid, Med+ Alc, Full Body, Med+ Intensity, Med+ Finish. Apple, Pear, Spice, Honey

Good Quality, showing developed characters reading to drink, opens up nicely do not serve to cold, Acidity is low and maybe hurting this now. Also could be a touch more "complex" (4868 views)
Tasted by Spriter on 1/31/2010 & rated 92 points: Almost perfect. Will not forget. Take your time to fully appreciate this one. (3214 views)
Tasted by maxima on 12/21/2009 & rated 91 points: Delicious!!! This golden hue wine shows a charming bouquet on pears and herbs.
The mouth feel is quite succulent. Enticing and complexe flavors of pears, rosemary, sap and a hint of maple syrup, simply irresistible.
It is very ample and fleshy in the mouth while style being refreshing with the good dose of acidity on the back end that keeps the ensemble well balanced.
A tremendous effort for the price, try this wine with smoked salmon or lobster and kick back and enjoy!!! Cheers!
93+ for now! (2333 views)
Tasted by maxima on 12/19/2009 & rated 92 points: This wine is even better than a few months ago, it is simply tremendous!!! This golden hue wine shows a charming bouquet on pears and herbs and is even more complex this time around as it warms up, this wine needs to be served between 12-14°C to show it's character.
The mouth feel is quite decadent, no BLAH here for sure. Enticing and complexe flavors of pears, rosemary, sap and a hint of maple syrup, simply irresistible.
It is very ample, dense, rich and refined with the good dose of acidity on the back end that keeps the ensemble well balanced.
A tremendous effort for the price point as this is a GRAND CRU, try this wine with smoked salmon or lobster or like I did for this second botle ALONE by itself, in front of a lazy wood burning stove, kick back and enjoy, life is GOOD!!! Cheers!
94 and still improving!!! (1398 views)
Tasted by Zayats on 9/20/2009 & rated 80 points: Was not blown away given that this was a grand cru. Too blah. (1225 views)

Pinot Gris

From Pinot Gris Wikipedia entry:
Wines made from the Pinot gris vary greatly and are dependent on the region and wine making style they are from. Alsatian Pinot gris are medium to full bodied wines with a rich, somewhat floral bouquet. They tend to be spicy in comparisons with other Pinot gris. While most Pinot gris are meant to be consumed early, Alsatian Pinot gris can age well. German Pinot gris are more full-bodied with a balance of acidity and slight sweetness. In Oregon the wines are medium bodied with a yellow to copper-pink color and aromas of pear, apple, and/or melon. In California, the Pinot gris are more light bodied with a crisp, refreshing taste with some pepper and arugula notes. The Pinot grigio style of Italy is a light-bodied, often lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic. Although this wine can be very sweet, it will begin to lose its acidity when it is nearly ripe.

Pinot gris is considered an "early to market wine" that can be bottled and out on the market within 4–12 weeks after fermentation.
