| Tasted by YWG Wine Guy on 3/18/2011 & rated 85 points: $11 CAN @ MLCC - well get a little different expereince than others, reviewing notes from '09 and '08. For me, the nose is muted and subtle white floral notes and perhaps pears...palate is similar - pear and perhaps some apple quality - some acid and subtle sweetness - but rapidly transitions to a bitter mid and finish - like ?burnt almonds. Just not digging this. (3091 views) |
| Tasted by dawgdaze on 1/15/2011 & rated 84 points: We had this wine in Orvieto, Italy with friends. Maybe it was the ambiance of Italy but it tasted much better in Italy! Color: Golden straw. Aroma: Floral, melon and basil. Tasting notes: Apricot, melons, White flowers, with fruit flavors. This wine is very consistent throughout the vintages and is a nice summer time wine for the price! | Tasted by winetennis on 11/8/2010: Seems off-dry, but really a crisp & tart light white. Aroma of pear, some apple. Enough acidity to work with fish dishes. (2952 views) |
| Tasted by lumpyelbow on 9/11/2010: Yet to be Named Wine Club Meeting #4 (Brenda and Simon's): General consensus here was it was ok. For the price there are better things available. All the other whites we had at previous meetings were superior to this. (3452 views) |
| Tasted by tudval on 6/7/2010 & rated 86 points: I generally like this style and this is a pretty good vintage, judging by my first bottle. I was disappointed with 2007 and skipped the 2008. Tried it again this year and it seems back on track. Residual sugar is noticeable, but well balanced by refreshing acidity. Light. Nose is simple and fruity. No fizziness, the only disappointment. Good everyday wine at a very decent price. (3274 views) |
