(1429 views) | | Tasted by Papies on 8/25/2012 & rated 90 points: Athens Wine Event, August 2012; 8/25/2012-8/26/2012 (Athens, Greece): Colour starting to show some age. Light on the nose. On the palate it has presence and density, glycerin feel to it. Reminded us of a well made Rhone white blend. Nice but that's just about summarises it. 90 (2510 views) | | Tasted by JulianSkeels on 8/12/2012 & rated 89 points: Oyster and hazelnut on nose. Minerals and salty sensations. Refreshing and dry. A good match for shellfish, albeit fresh and without too much saltiness (citrus could be good). (2086 views) | | Tasted by dead puddle on 1/23/2012 & rated 83 points: Pop up and pour. Simple nose of white fruit, as pear, not much... Light tertiary tones of dry mushrooms , nor sure. Fresh mouth with a good bitterness, making the balance imperfect, and rustic. But this is the way to like this appellation. Finely a light bodied, not to expressive and imperfect. If you are smoker, and you do like showing you hairs behind a gold chain this wine is for you. But don't forget the perfect food match : order a Mediterranean daurade for your hysterical "cagole". (2221 views) | | Tasted by pbaek on 1/16/2012 flawed bottle: Flowers, minerals and, unfortunately, also some cork taint. (2106 views) | | Tasted by JesperR on 11/15/2011 & rated 91 points: On the nose there is plenty lemon and honey, and then there is this lovely herbal character in the background, which is very subtle but very much there. I find lots of fresh cut fennel, some thyme and rosemary. Very appealing and very sure of itself in a very laid back, relaxed way. This will most likely never turn out to be the winner at blindtastings, but on the table to go with for instance a mediterranean fishcourse things are looking quite different imo, and I couldn't think of a better companion for anything that involves white fish, tomatoes and anchovies not to mention the bouillabaisse. (1686 views) | | Tasted by french16 on 9/4/2011: Really fresh nose with more weight that you would expect after that nose. Quite grassy, hint of hay with some raspberry and strawberry notes. A touch of lemon and orange but there's not really any particular fruit standing out. Actually there's not much fruit right now, almost like lemon water. Good acidity that cuts the oiliness of the texture. A bitter finish. Well made and I really liked it. (1068 views) | | Tasted by drwine2001 on 4/9/2011: Provence, Including 2008 Tempiers (SF Wine Trading Company): Green tint. Ripe citrus aromas and entry but mostly dry and mineral. Some degree of roundness. Good. (1729 views) | | Tasted by soyhead on 6/18/2010 & rated 86 points: I had to do some reasearch but the 2007 appears to be 50% Marsanne, 25% Uni Blanc, and 25% Clairette, so I imagine the 2008 is something similar. nose - some floral notes, citrus, fresh breeze, honey mouth - medium bodied, possible some herbal notes (the Kermit Lynch newsletter suggests fennel), a bit of a mix of crisp and full bodied. Interesting and imminently drinkable. (1286 views) |
