Community Tasting Notes (average 86.5 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 27 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by pgrzesik on 3/16/2018 & rated 86 points: Pop and pour, drank over 2 days. Decent chardonnay from Burgundy, but tasted a bit overly acidic and tart. Too much for my tasting. Good QPR though. Nice break from drinking California style chardonnays for me. (1851 views)
Tasted by propapapa on 6/6/2016 & rated 85 points: Nice mineral crisp nose. Palate not nearly as good as the nose. Well rounded palate, lots of citrus, but a bit astringent. Maybe a little dank. Generally fine but a bit harsh? (2595 views)
Tasted by BenBlu on 12/11/2015 & rated 82 points: Acceptable table wine. (3033 views)
Tasted by tzusanna on 10/30/2015 & rated 86 points: Pale yellow/straw in color with apple and something deeper (earthy is the closest term I can find) on the nose. Very pleasant. Apple and citrus on the palate, bright! Buttery at the end, but it was minimal and just the right amount to compliment the citrus at the start. (3057 views)
Tasted by purdyshuz on 10/12/2015 & rated 92 points: For those that do not like oaky or buttery chards this is a great choice. (3064 views)
Tasted by cmurrays on 10/9/2015 & rated 88 points: The 2013 Louis Jadot Macon-Village is an unoaked chardonnay with 12 1/2% abv. It showed a clear, medium, straw-yellow in color and an aroma of grapefruit with a hint of apple.

The wine is dry with the right amount of acidity to balance the tangy citrus/apple fruit flavor. The flavor lingers for about 30 to 40 seconds although some acidity remains on the palate after that time.

All in all, this refreshing wine shows a good balance of acid and fruit. (1734 views)
Tasted by Link2017 on 8/18/2015 & rated 86 points: frisch, fruchtig, Abgang etwas unangenehm sauer (444 views)
Tasted by shadow on 8/5/2015 & rated 85 points: Citrus pith on the nose, served chilled, lite and refreshing, like cool water with something in it. (1784 views)
Tasted by King Saba on 7/18/2015: ]not great. (828 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 7/12/2015: Ho hum, not much going on gete (844 views)
Tasted by johnrm on 4/7/2015 & rated 86 points: Next day (I was drinking red when this was opened) - decent nose, balanced palate with restrained fruit and nice nutty, oaky character.
OK with no faults to me at this price. (1106 views)
(1111 views)
Tasted by kcst1300 on 2/27/2015 & rated 87 points: Citrus nose, mouth feel is richer than I expected, so maybe some malo? Attack is citrusy. On the mid palate some green apple flavors and minerals kick in with the citrus. Nice zippy finish. (1129 views)
Tasted by rexmerlot on 2/5/2015 & rated 88 points: Nice wine. Citrus on nose and palate. For the price a nice wine, but not worth allot of notes. (1061 views)
Tasted by Matteo1 on 1/1/2015: Very good for a supermarket wine. This year it shows more creamy malo lactic characteristics with some Burgundian sea shell accents. Some sugar shows on the mid palate. Medium plus acid and body, good lingering finish. (1128 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
