Tasted by Haystack on 12/25/2019 & rated 95 points: There are better Napa Cabs in the world, but not many. The depth of nose and of mid palate are lovely. Undeniably Napa Cab and just showing its alcohol vs. the last time I had it four years ago. It peters out a bit at the finish. Truly an incredible value at this price point if you can find a bottle before I buy it. Ready to drink now and may diminish with a few years. (710 views)
Tasted by overspeed62 on 8/3/2015 & rated 95 points: This wine is in a great spot now. It coats the full palate immediately, in a good way. There's a sweet spice note that I hadn't noticed when it was younger. Very smooth with a long finish. (2030 views)
Tasted by Vitis Maximus on 5/30/2015 & rated 94 points: What a smooth drink. This is hitting stride big time. Licorice, floral note, currents and anise and a lot more. Smooth tannins and a warm lingering finish. Very tasty. (1834 views)
Tasted by CK6865 on 8/25/2013 & rated 97 points: Decanted for 4 hours overall just a great wine ,nice nose , deep ruby color, lots of dark fruit, drinking just as good as in the spring, maybe better by a touch. Wish I had more. (2640 views)
Tasted by CK6865 on 3/28/2013 & rated 96 points: Decanted for 4 hours, nice deep brown ruby pour , nice nose, really like this wine ,very smooth and a great finish ,overall a great wine (2735 views)
Tasted by overspeed62 on 10/23/2011: - Ruby color and aromas of geranium. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and raspberry with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish. (3502 views)
Tasted by russdan60 on 8/5/2011 & rated 95 points: Was nervous about opening this so young but contacted Rosemary and she said with a few hours decanting it was drinking very well. She was right. Wonderful finish, forward fruit. Improved as the night went on. Decanted 5 hours. Happy anniversary Stacey! (2827 views)
Tasted by overspeed62 on 9/6/2010 & rated 94 points: Decanted a couple of hours. Beautiful wine for such a young Napa cab. Another great example of why '07 may be such a special vintage. This wine was so smooth, so full of lush berries with a nice finish. I'm sure it will be even better years from now but it's really, really good now. Planning on holding off on another bottle for a year or two but don't know if it's necessary. (3489 views)
Tasted by Phin on 5/30/2010 & rated 95 points: Very acidic upon initial opening. Decanted all day. Red berries, red currant mixed with black fruits. Sorbet-like blend and smoothness. Great body and balance. 95+ (3409 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
