Tasted by Cellarseller on 10/10/2014 & rated 90 points: Dessert wine; Great with crème brûlée! (1570 views)
Tasted by fournet on 8/23/2013 & rated 92 points: Coravin. No decant. Excellent QPR and really nice wine. In many ways reminded me of an older German Riesling. Certainly sweet with lots of apricot and peach. Mild hints of effervescent style. Glad I have a couple more bottles and no rush to open them. Some depth and complexity, but not a lot. Could gain nuance with time. (2050 views)
Tasted by wineOK on 1/28/2012 & rated 91 points: WOW! I am learning that sweet is not bad if it's done right. This wine was honey golden in color. It tasted like peaches and honey with some tart apricot to balance the sweet with some nice acidity. Excellent desert wine. I am having trouble thinking of a food pairing for it but liked it quite a bit by itself. (2861 views)
Tasted by bretrooks on 12/27/2011 & rated 89 points: Consumed at room temperature. This was enjoyable, full-bodied with notes of honeyed peaches and golden raisins. A background note of something like baking spices caused someone to ask me if gewurztraminer was involved. Tasty, but relatively simple and a little on the sweet side at the moment. (2902 views)
Tasted by pickhardt on 6/4/2011: Good, but almost too sweet. Needs to be paired with something to be fully enjoyed. (3417 views)
Tasted by overthetop on 11/7/2010 & rated 90 points: Well balanced dessert wine - sweet, but not cloyingly so, and beautifully balanced by the acidity and the apricot, peach, honey notes. (2297 views)
Tasted by Rich S on 10/6/2010 & rated 90 points: A very faint hint of TCA upon opening but it blew off as the wine opened up so I assume it was not flawed. Light golden color. Loads of apricots, honey, golden raisins and tropical fruits on the nose and palate. Definitely on the sweet side of dessert wine but enough vibrant acid to keep the wine from being cloying on the palate. Long, sweet finish. Very nice dessert wine to just sip on its own but not a great QPR. (1808 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
