Tasted by nzinkgraf on 1/10/2016: Founded in 2008. Mostly sandy soils. 100 year old vines. Belinda Thomson is the winemaker. She’s Australian. Shaya is the name of the mini deer.
subtle aromas. Mineral. Water weight on the palate, but still melon and mellow palate. (1198 views)
Tasted by George Lopez on 12/25/2015 & rated 90 points: Great QPR. Good fruit, nice acidity and easy to sip with or without food. Popped and poured; paired with cheese and salami. (1134 views)
Tasted by wagonwine on 8/15/2015: 3.5 Green apple and tropical aromas, including pineapple, dominate with a background hint of barrel. Round mouthful compliments the crisp acidity nicely. Excellent. (555 views)
Tasted by thehaughleydrinker on 2/24/2015 & rated 88 points: Bright and pale yellow in the glass. (Very) subtle fruit on the nose - hard to detect. Taste makes up for it as this is wonderfully fresh, fruity, well balanced. Excellent value for money. (1636 views)
Tasted by Man in Black on 2/5/2015: The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon-green colour.

The nose is clean and youthful, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of white flowers (roses, honeysuckle), stone fruit (peaches), tropical fruit (melon) and citrus (lime, lemon peel).

The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium body and a medium(+) alcohol. It has pronounced intensity flavours of white flowers (roses, honeysuckle), stone fruit (peaches), tropical fruit (melon) and citrus (lime, lemon peel). The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours that balance the acidity. However it does not show the typicity of a Verdejo wine.

Drink now, not suitable for ageing. It has quite a lot of fruit concentration and some acidic structure to be kept, but this style of wine tends to develop reduction aromas easily. (1694 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 2/3/2015: Enofusión 2015; 2/2/2015-2/4/2015 (IFEMA - Madrid): Very timid on the nose.
Shortie on the palate where bitterness hides almost everything. Passé.

Muy apocada en nariz
Cortita en boca donde el amargor tapa casi todo. Passé (2522 views)
Tasted by Vince_chip on 12/1/2014 & rated 90 points: Très bon dès l'ouverture.
Rafraichissant. (799 views)
Tasted by kosmik on 9/2/2014 & rated 86 points: Un nez citronné, herbacé, mentholé, végétal.
Belle fraîcheur en bouche, belle texture, persistance moyenne-courte.
Très bon, sans plus. (414 views)

Verdejo

Verdejo thrives in Northwestern Castile continental climate and gravel soils. The grape gives aromatic wines, often soft with body.
Wines take on a slightly yellowish color, with a youthful, greenish hue. A crisp and fresh white variety with grassy notes, a touch of fruit and excellent level of acidity. The extract, a key factor when assessing the personality of great white wines, is perceived through its volume and its characteristic bitter touch, which leaves a glint of originality in the mouth, accompanied by a rich fruity expression. These wines are harmonious, and their aftertaste invites to go on drinking.

Spain

Vinos de España - Wines of Spain (Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior) | Wikipedia
Wine Map on weinlagen-info

Spain is the third largest wine producing nation in the world, occupying the majority of the Iberian Peninsula with vast diversity in climate, culture, and of course, wine. From inky, dark reds of the [Priorat] to dry, white Finos from Andalusia, Spain can easily boast of elaborating a wide variety of notable styles. Within Spain there are currently 62 demarcated wine regions, of which a handful have gained international recognition: [Rioja], Priorat and [Ribera del Duero]. Yet these regions are only a small sample of the high quality wines Spain produces. Regions such as Cava, Penedes, Somontano, Galicia, Rueda and Jerez are only a few of the numerous regions worthy of exploration throughout Spain. Spain can also lay claim to having the most land under vine in the world, growing up to, by some accounts, 600 indigenous varietals of which Tempranillo is their most well known. Other popular varietals include [Garnacha], Bobal and Monastrell for reds and for whites; the infamous [sic] Palomino Fino grape which is used in the production of sherry wine, Pedro Ximenez in Montilla Morilles, Albarino used in the creation of the bright, effervescent wines of Galicia, and Verdejo in Rueda. - Source: - Catavino.net

Spain is not in the forefront of winemaking for its dessert wines, other than for its sweet wines from Sherry country including the highly revered Olorosos (when sweetened). But apart from Sherry Spain has a range of styles of dessert wines, ranging from the those made from the Pedro Ximenez grape primarily in Jerez and Montilla-Moriles) to luscious, red dessert wines made in the Mediterranean from the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. Some good Moscatels are made in Mallorca, Alicante and Navarre. The northwest corner of Spain, Galicia, with its bitter Atlantic climate, is even making dessert wines, called “Tostadillos” in the village of Ribadivia (similar to France’s “Vin de Paille”). The Canary Islands have made interesting dessert wines for centuries (they are mentioned by Shakespeare, for example) and in recent years the quality of winemaking has been improved and the Canary Islands wines are being better marketed now. The winemaking styles for “Vinos Dulces” are also diverse, from “Late Harvest” (Vendimia Tardía) to “Fortified Wines” (Fermentación Parcial). Based on in-spain.info.
