Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 90 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 3 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by williamturck on 6/9/2014: So many bubbles in this wine almost like a pet nat in the beginning but after a decant it showed very well. Stony and lemony liquid gold. Great stuff. (3172 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 7/30/2013: Fraser McKinley appropriately termed this a yoghurt wine. It fizzed and crackled with all sorts of odd cultures, was a little bretty and smelt of cucumber and juniper berry. It was skinsy in the mouth with good intensity and finished with a big sprinkling of salt. (3222 views)
Tasted by harupeiling on 4/16/2013 & rated 90 points: As good as fresh Aligoté gets I suppose. Lively with crisp citrusy notes and racy acidity. In my opinion it is best enjoyed with food at the moment as it mellows it somewhat. I had it with pan-fried pollock with butterbeans and some fried vegetables. Very nice! (3402 views)
