Tasted by tomoem on 5/19/2023 & rated 87 points: CBCC spring wine tasting (part 2)

Once again the sparkling wine is just ok. Slightly acidic and nearly out of control as it was biting. Some strawberry and peach notes on the palette with short and modest lingering flavors. It has an acidic dominated mouthfeel like my last tasting. (609 views)
Tasted by MineFineWine on 1/16/2023 & rated 85 points: 4/5 STILL QUITE GOOD, A LITTLE PAST PRIME
The wine looks yellow brown colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, grapefruit, orange, apricot, pear, honey and sherry. It tastes like grapefruit, orange, prune, pear, apricot, cantaloupe, black pepper and honey. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.  Tasted by millennialwinegeek on 6/8/2020 & rated 82 points: It’s certainly not going to blow your mind but it’s a solid Cremant. Seems almost like it was bottled at too low pressure, as it’s definitely fizzy but the mousse is a little too creamy for my taste. Has a nice mellow lemon curd on toast flavor going on, but that’s about it.

Body: Medium
Acidity: High
Typicity: Medium+

Tasted by tomoem on 4/7/2019 & rated 89 points: Mediocre but pleasant rose champagne. Some strawberry and peach notes on the palette with short and modest lingering acdic dominated mouthfeel. Might improve but I just don't think so. Suzy felt it was fine. (1956 views)

Tasted by Alain Harvey on 6/15/2014 & rated 87 points: Produced in a style similar to Champagne and made just around the corner in the Alsace region of France, Lucien Albrecht’s Cremant d’Alsace Brut Blanc de Blancs is a very lovely sparkling white wine that won’t break the bank. This brisk, lively sparkler is a great lower priced alternative to Champagne. Made from first-run Pinot Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc grown on clay-chalky soil, it features fresh notes of citrus and white flowers and a brisk, creamy aftertaste. Elegant and moderately to heavily fizzy, the nonvintage Brut has a very sharp apple nose to it. The body is dry and cleansing, a crisp sparkler that goes down very smoothly and with a short finish. The fruit lingers for a few seconds, then it’s gone, inviting you to take another sip. I like it best after it’s had a few minutes to decompress and let out a bit of its bubbles. Heretical, maybe, but try it in a Chardonnay glass and see what you think. Its balanced medium-body matches well with food, making it a prime choice for all holiday entertaining, either as an apéritif or to accompany entrées. (6007 views)
Tasted by WMWG on 8/27/2013: Very good. Golden straw color with light bubbles that fade a bit. This lacks the striking acidity of many champagnes. Palate has expressions of toasted almond, rice wine, soy, and tempura. Very smooth and clean tasting, a great value. (7339 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 3/3/2013: Crisp, clean, fantastic. Perfect with oysters (7870 views)
Tasted by markbp on 12/30/2012 & rated 88 points: Pale color. Fairly flat on the nose. Mild fruitiness with notes of pear and mirin (?). Harsh acidity with a somewhat hollow finish. Average. (4162 views)
Tasted by Eric Guido on 11/23/2012 & rated 89 points: On the nose I found green apples, lemon, whole butter and chalky minerals. The palate showed granny smith apple, flower petals and grassy tones with a bitter feel that was then washed clean by a strong core of acidity. On the finish, the senses were left dry, but then began to water with lingering notes of grapefruit and walnut. (4459 views)

Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/17/2012: 100% Pinot Blanc but it is actually 70% Pinot Auxerrois. I bit of funk, almost Chenin like texture thing going on. Works at $21. Goes through 100% malo to get it fuller with less acidity. (2784 views)
Tasted by Rob and Meg on 2/12/2012 & rated 86 points: The nose offers generous tones of ripe green apples, sea spray, and lemon-pine. On the palate the wine is focused and fresh, framing orchard fruits within a tropical edge. The mid-palate is mineral driven with a mild metallic bite, leading to a medium length finish defined by refreshing lemon acidity. The structure, despite a slightly larger bead, is aided by a nice acid core as well as linear progression on the palate. This is a well made sparkler, however, it could be a bit more dynamic.  Tasted by SonomaWilliam on 12/21/2011 & rated 89 points: Excellent imported bubbles. Pale yellow straw color, nose of bread yeast & green apple, Pear, melon, in mouth, nice roundness. Good acidity on finish. 12% alc. (3825 views)
Tasted by amateurwino on 11/27/2011 & rated 88 points: Solid as always; excellent QPR. Delivers a lot of what I look for in Champagne at a third of the price or less. Dry but refreshing, with a touch of toastiness to add a touch of richness. 87-88 (3574 views)
Tasted by -Tim- on 7/25/2011 & rated 90 points: Very very good Cremant. Highly recommended! (3964 views)
Tasted by Cubatobaco on 5/16/2011 & rated 87 points: Color - very light golden color, beautiful and clear, nice bead
Bouquet - dough, tight, marzipan, green apple
Flavor Profile - almonds, green apple, hint of honey,
Feel - quite dry, light weight, slightly disjointed
