Community Tasting Notes (average 90.5 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 41 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by the shrub on 8/6/2019 & rated 91 points: Excellent bottle. Full of dark fruit. Hold (948 views)
Tasted by Winefeld on 10/6/2018 & rated 87 points: Dark ruby colour with slight bricking at the rim. Coffee, mocha, plum, blackberry, raisin, anise. Only a hint of classic Aussie eucalyptus. Heavy sediment. Acidity is waning at this point. Can’t complain about the price but the 2010 is declining. Drink now. (997 views)
Tasted by TomColman on 6/14/2018 & rated 92 points: Remarkably elegant syrah, displaying red and black fruits on a minty dpice background. The excellent minerality and medium tannins elevate the wine to a high class. (1131 views)
Tasted by despore on 7/21/2016 & rated 90 points: Excellent QPR, solid example of Australian Shiraz. (1650 views)
Tasted by Elvis1969 on 3/13/2015 & rated 88 points: Nice full bodied Shiraz. (2300 views)
Tasted by Pwpayne on 7/5/2014 & rated 91 points: Dark purple color, smells of sweet cherry and pepper, medium bodied, tastes of red fruit, mint, and black licorice. (1775 views)
Tasted by hackey37 on 3/7/2014 & rated 92 points: The color is inky purple and very dark and dense and opaque. The smells are currants, vanilla, sweet cherry, menthol, jam, and smoky tar. The tastes are sweet cherries, blackberry jam, fig, vanilla, mocha, black olive, cedar, pepper, and sweet spice. This is full bodied and fruit forward with furry tannins and a long finish. This is a full throttle fruit bomb and is tasty. (1667 views)
Tasted by Yme on 2/25/2014: The nose gave the impression of a big, bold, 'in your face' sort of shiraz. However the body was lighter than expected though the tannins were very noticeable. Plenty of red fruits, mint and pepper on the palate with a very long length. (1423 views)
Tasted by hackey37 on 2/9/2014 & rated 91 points: Very inky color and purple violet color to the rim. This wine is completely, lights out opaque. Smells are blackberry, olive, vanilla, pepper, and dark chocolate. The tastes are blackberry, black licorice, pepper, dark chocolate, and olive notes. The tannins are furry velvet and there is weighty mouth-feel here with a nice, cedary, finish. (1287 views)
Tasted by safetyengineer on 12/22/2013 & rated 91 points: Deep red color and lingering good nose - immediate and after some time. Good fruit taste. Enjoyable drink now, but will probably age better. (1136 views)
Tasted by Davyd Chong on 6/22/2013 & rated 92 points: A powerful, creamy shiraz with very ripe dark fruits. Complex, with chewy layers of tannins. There was an underlying sweetness to this wine that masked the tannins in this wine, like dates. Still young and slightly tannic, but I am confident this wine can go the distance for many more years. Very drinkable now actually. (1771 views)
Tasted by cellartracker@planetcoulter.co on 6/8/2013 & rated 95 points: A surprisingly beautiful wine, very soft and well balanced with lots of fruit flavours and a long finish. Would certainly buy again. Hard to fault some of Glaetzer's wines. (1107 views)
Tasted by CanadianDave on 4/1/2013 & rated 92 points: Very nice. Should improve with a few years more in the cellar. (1117 views)
Tasted by Varnerhome on 2/2/2013 & rated 92 points: rich, fruity and tannic with a little pepper... (1034 views)
