(1480 views) | | Tasted by wineshaman on 7/13/2019 & rated 86 points: Simple, very dry, cherry, raspberry not much else. (2250 views) | | Tasted by sid_loves_wine on 7/3/2019 & rated 91 points: Defintiely a wonderful value, as it can be easily found for $8 (sometimes even less) and has defintie purity, letting the grapes sing. It's a touch jammy on the palate and definitely not "complex", but has great, fairly bright red fruit with a nice touch of blackcurrant, plus a touch of pepper. Wouldn't be as special for $15, but at the current price, it's a nice baby Rhone. (1143 views) | | Tasted by JerM on 7/3/2019 & rated 92 points: Bright red fruits, expressive dark florals, herbal spices. Palate shows blue and red fruit, savoury concentration, generously layered, translucent and elegant, leading to a mid-length, gentle finish with mint and fresh earth. A complete wine. Perfect with Ayam Serei! (1142 views) | | Tasted by JerM on 4/25/2019: The Great 2019 Easter Marathon!; 4/17/2019-4/26/2019 (Sydney): Red blue fruit, soft spices, easy, expressive. Sweet, elegant. (1356 views) | | Tasted by ap70 on 3/17/2019 & rated 86 points: Deep crimson, medium plus viscosity. Ripe nose with stewed fruit and spice. No noticeable oak. Medium bodied, medium tannins, medium plus acid. Jammy and spicy on the palate, not too high in alcohol or tannins. Very drinkable and cheap! (756 views) | | Tasted by Vet ikke on 2/28/2019 & rated 52 points: Fi for noe dritt. Ble kvalm av 1 glass. (493 views) | | Tasted by fcxj on 12/7/2018 & rated 86 points: One tone but quaffable. (754 views) | | Tasted by Mahaneys on 11/30/2018 & rated 89 points: This really surprised me. Very nice blend from the Rhône area at an amazing price. We had tried their Rose and enjoyed that. We will buy again. Atlantic Liq. For sure, will look at other stores. (518 views) | | Tasted by SpiSan on 11/26/2018 & rated 86 points: Simple easy drinking Rhone with a quick finish. (546 views) | | Tasted by NJLewis on 10/21/2018 & rated 92 points: Tasted sweet & fruity at first but the depth of flavor grew and we really liked it! (511 views) | | Tasted by SadEdjo on 9/8/2018 & rated 87 points: Hint of green (725 views) | | Tasted by Xavier Auerbach on 5/27/2018 & rated 85 points: Light and a bit thin, slightly lactic, but the uncomplicated, forward flavours of fruit, spices and flowers are actually quite pretty. U.S. Importer (Addt'l Info)Red Rhone Blend Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.
A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
