(1755 views) | | Tasted by Genghis88 on 7/27/2014 & rated 89 points: Pale golden, hay like hue Gooseberry, , lemon zest, citrus explosion, tight, high minerality Honey dew melon, medium (+) finish, tastes like the nose
This wine was far better than the first time i sampled it. GOOD STUFF! (1811 views) | | Tasted by Genghis88 on 9/1/2012 & rated 86 points: Pale lemon color Legs evident, high alcohol Stone fruit, some oakiness, wet wool, Dry, medium plus acidity, medium length Yeasty, lemon zest, some bitterness off finish
This wine falls short of what I expect. Somewhat disappointing. (2607 views) | | Tasted by Paul D on 3/24/2012 & rated 86 points: No formal note. Very youthful still, but less generous and complex than the previous bottle with intense citrus, notes of soil and acacia. Fresh and taut on the palate, very crisp and decent length finish, but just lacking a little buffering and weight this time round. (3096 views) | | Tasted by fatherdamo on 3/20/2012 & rated 91 points: fantastic vibrancy and enjoyment. the judicious oak is still present and correct, the faintest touch of fennel too. the palate is great, a really round mouth followed by a whiplash acid finish. everything in balance, a really enjoyable wine. (2188 views) | | Tasted by PhDP on 10/5/2011: Bourgogne...un peu de tout (groupe du mercredi, Bruxelles, Belgium, chez ThCh): Robe très pâle Nez d'amande amère, mentholé, fougère, précis Bouche tranchante, jeune, type Chablis ou Corton-Charlemagne Ma note: 16,0/20 (2185 views) | | Tasted by Paul D on 7/2/2011 & rated 90 points: Pale/medium lemon. Intense, still relatively youthful nose showing citrus fruit, apple, hint of spice and floral, kiss of vanilla oak. Medium/full bodied on the palate, this has gained weight and richness but retains lovely freshness, vibrancy and cut, with bright citrus and apple fruit on the initial attack, then some acacia and soil on the impressively long, fresh finish. Lovely. (1450 views) | | Tasted by Paul D on 11/30/2009 & rated 88 points: Pale lemon. Subtle, restrained but quite complex nose with lemon fruit, mineral and acacia notes. Slight whiff of pear. Not much oak here. Medium bodied, taut and fresh in style, subtle citrus fruit, very minerally, crisp acidity, good length minerally finish. This has progressed well and, although it should still open out a little more from here, for me it is just coming in to its drinking window. I like this unadorned style, a lovely village Puligny. (1290 views) | | Tasted by vine20 on 6/21/2009 & rated 89 points: Subtle and elegant nose. The fruit is a bit thin, light citrus with a complexity that accompanies food well. (1328 views) | | Tasted by fatherdamo on 6/6/2009 & rated 91 points: really lovely minerality and good finish. (1312 views) | | Tasted by fatherdamo on 3/6/2009 & rated 90 points: good body, and plenty of length on the finish. slightly oaky, still a little restrained. solid acidity. good stuff and very enjoyable with pasta con vongole. i'll leave for anpther 6 months before trying again. (1333 views) | | Tasted by mark_m_owen on 11/2/2008 & rated 86 points: Light in colour, citrus nose and slight hints of flowers...a little bit of sweet stuff in there. Medium bodied, a little subtle oak but nicely done. Balanced but rather muted. Will hold a little while on the remainder and see if this one sticks it's head out. (1436 views) | | Tasted by Rossodio on 7/18/2008 & rated 89 points: Four Fine Wines with Mr. Georg Riedel Himself (Cork & Bottle, New Orleans): I agree with the guy who wrote the note before me -- this wine is a bit tight and just starting to spread its wings, but is nothing spectacular at this point. Its best days lie ahead, and it may be phenomenal. (1882 views) | | Tasted by Paul D on 1/15/2008 & rated 84 points: Pale lemon. Quite restrained with floral (acacia) and lemon, hardly any oak. Medium bodied with crisp acidity, a slight hint of honey on the medium length finish. Slightly disappointing at this stage but may just be in its shell a little. (1822 views) |

2018 vintage: "marked by a wet spring, a superb summer and a good harvest" 2019 vintage reports 2021: "From a general standpoint, whether for white, rosé or red wines, 2021 is a year marked by quality in the Rhône Valley Vineyards. Structured, elegant, fresh and fruity will be the main keywords for this new vintage." 2022 harvest: idealwine.info | wine-searcher.comBurgundy Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)
Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes: * "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons * "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson * "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson
# 2014 Vintage Notes: "We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates
# 2015 Vintage Notes: "Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson
# 2017 Vintage Notes: "Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson
# 2018 Vintage Notes: "The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
