Tasted by brinko99 on 12/20/2015 & rated 87 points: Remarkable. I expected the worst in this older vintage wine but it showed remarkable freshness still. It was a simple but delicious light rhone with a lovely acid balance, macerated strawberry and a distinct tinge of white pepper. (5369 views)
Tasted by jonahfactor on 7/5/2013 & rated 84 points: Definitely in its drink-up stage. Good partner to our annual 4th of July hamburger/hot dog BBQ. Very slight browning in the glass along the edges. Light bodied. Plummy, berry qualities. Short finish. But for what it is, this continues to please. (8684 views)
Tasted by Davyray on 7/25/2012: Great for the price. One of the nicest French wines I have had for $10. Nice casual party drinker. (10553 views)
Tasted by chbeaumont on 7/6/2012 & rated 82 points: Piquant nose; threadbare fruit, marked acidity, hot finish. Drink up. (10676 views)
Tasted by JAprile on 3/13/2012 & rated 86 points: Delicious for a lighter red. (11589 views)
Tasted by hubas on 2/24/2012 & rated 82 points: Very fruit driven low tannins not that exciting. (6931 views)
Tasted by sipnwine on 12/25/2011 & rated 89 points: Great QPR. $10 for a 1.5L at Costco. I have another in the cellar and would purchase more. Very drinkable at the open, nothing harsh. (4937 views)
Tasted by chodur on 11/26/2011 & rated 86 points: Ok thanksgiving wine (2499 views)
Tasted by chodur on 11/24/2011 & rated 86 points: Ok thanksgiving wine (2482 views)
Tasted by Oh Dae-su on 11/14/2011 & rated 83 points: Scents of smoke, cassis, black currant, some barn aromas and a bit of green banana.
A fruitful, light but fit body. Flavours of black currant, tar, a bit unpleasent leather and some chewing gum (cassis). Still a bit hard tannins. I guess in 6 months a bit better. It might have got a certain headace potential. I only had a 0,375. Lucky me.
Simple but quite pleasing Farmers Best Blend. The spirit of the contryside and cowshed ;-) (4509 views)
Tasted by Kurt and Ruthann on 10/28/2011 & rated 87 points: nice light refreshing wine. (4576 views)
Tasted by wfogleman on 10/24/2011 & rated 79 points: Nothing special here. (4817 views)
Tasted by chbeaumont on 10/11/2011 & rated 85 points: Decent, tight but signs of starting to open. (4643 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 10/7/2011: Femenine wine. In this particular case it means a softie, pleasant, clean and red fruity bottle. To be shared with a fresh salad. Do not look for complexity here.

Vino femenino. En este caso significa una botella suavecita, agradable, limpia y de frutos rojos. Para ser compartido con una ensalada fresca. No busques complejidad aquí. (4895 views)
Tasted by WinePT on 9/19/2011 & rated 86 points: Day 1: Easy to drink. Good QPR. On Day 2, much more metallic finish; not as good. (4711 views)
Tasted by duchamp on 9/17/2011 & rated 87 points: Light ruby, bright nose with fresh cherry and raspberry scents with mineral undertones, juicy on the palate with clean unadulterated grenache fruit (and others) and green notes, finish is spicy and unexpectedly long (4723 views)
Tasted by Yankeeman1 on 9/4/2011 & rated 80 points: Usually good but underwhelmed after solid Pinot. (4913 views)
Tasted by Mstroh55 on 8/29/2011 & rated 88 points: Always good and a great bargain. (4939 views)
Tasted by ID on 8/7/2011: This is a light-ish wine, both in color and taste, but with enough body to stand up to a steak. Not much of a nose. But the taste is good. The wine isn't slacking off. It's up on its feet, trying to do something. This is a good wine. (5115 views)
Tasted by D Brown on 7/14/2011 & rated 86 points: Warm red fruits on the nose - redcurrants, plums and loganberries - up front, with (pleasingly) some spice and mineral underneath. Fresh and forward without at all being over-ripe. Follows through onto palate, along with a little green stalkyness/under-ripness - in the context a good thing, adding structure and interest, although also a jarring astringency to the acid, which renders it funky rather than fresh. Overall, well judged and fine for an odd glass with food, but the poor quality of the acid on the finish detracts heavily from the whole. I wonder whether it was acidified or natural? 86 (5545 views)
Tasted by bandl on 7/12/2011 & rated 86 points: Excellent value. nose has rosehips (my wife thinks more pepper/cherries), taste is bright and complex. slightly tart with cherries. I would buy again. (4003 views)
Tasted by mdefreitas on 7/10/2011 & rated 85 points: This bottle was actually a Ventoux AOC, not a Côtes du Ventoux (there was no Ventoux AOC in CellarTracker). Simple red fruit profile of strawberry, cherry and raspberry. Ripe fruit without much complexity. Almost tastes manufactured (almost), but then it comes across as merely rustic. Easy to drink with food. Easy going "cheap" wine. Got better on day two, with some olive tapenade notes peeking through. (5511 views)
Tasted by creining on 6/17/2011 & rated 85 points: Flavors of berries, raspberry jam and earth on the palette. Slight astringency which dissipates over time. Great QPR. (5891 views)
Tasted by JohnFalstaff on 5/16/2011 & rated 90 points: Nose: fresh and fruity. Strawberry and cherry. Taste: refreshing and enjoyable. Fruity character accompanied by leathery notes. Surprisingly complex aftertaste. Very good value for the money. (4127 views)
Tasted by guido23 on 5/14/2011 & rated 85 points: Pretty simple with nice tannins (6306 views)

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
