Not too grabby on green apple taste. Easy to drink on own like any Riesling and would go down smooth on a hot day. (2382 views) | | Tasted by Coupe 60 on 12/5/2011: Had with bread and cheese. Similar to last bottle though I got more tartness and less hint of sweetness this time out. Simple, green apples, light, refreshing, . Good QPR. Would buy again at $8... (2831 views) | | Tasted by Coupe 60 on 10/2/2011 & rated 87 points: Drank with Cheese and crackers. Slight hint of sweetness. Green apples, not too much by the way of acidity. Not oo bad of an effort for the price. (2925 views) | | Tasted by Epic Tale on 1/1/2011 & rated 88 points: Tasty, clean, enjoyably slightly sweet, and fruity low-alcohol (9%) wine that paired well with a New Year's Day dinner of raclette. Very good QPR ($10) and worth buying more of for similar occasions. (3212 views) | | Tasted by bianca15 on 5/17/2008 & rated 87 points: A very nice riesling. Not sweet, though very fruity, with a nice acidity. A great find for this price. Buy again! (660 views) |

#2014 Vintage Notes: 2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise 2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator "My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)NaheAn der Nahe erwarten den Besucher sanftes Grün, romantische Flusstäler und dramatische Felsformationen. Interactive map on weinlagen.info |
