Tasted by Patrick on 9/30/2009 & rated 84 points: Very gold in colour. Showing the slightly oxidized note that i've gotten from the wine before. Good flavours with a touch of heat. I'm sure this was better in the past. (2633 views)
Tasted by jrslhughes on 7/18/2009 & rated 91 points: Excellent with seared halibut (2575 views)
Tasted by ksmith on 4/2/2008 & rated 88 points: Pale gold. Notes of apricot and mineral, with pleasant acidity. Good food wine (scallops and pasta with pesto). A little heat on the finish. (2730 views)
Tasted by cweiss on 7/26/2007: Good balance and enjoyable enough, but better and more distinctive last year. (3052 views)
Tasted by MeMyself&I on 7/5/2007 & rated 87 points: Great white Rhone blend from the Central Coast of California. (2889 views)
Tasted by VegasTony on 12/22/2006 & rated 86 points: This interesting blend of viognier, marsanne and grenache blanc tastes initially of apricots, has an interesting mid-palate with a stony backbone, and shows nice balancing acidity. However, there is too much alcohol (14.5%) for this white to handle, making for a rather "blah" finish and adding unwelcome heat. (1712 views)
Tasted by Tejano on 10/6/2006 & rated 89 points: Nice light yellow gold color that had a rather muted nose on opening...took awhile to blossom on warming to reveal some citrus components with maybe a pineapple sweetness and some mineral backing. Good fruit texture and an acidic twang that paired well with food. The fruit personality was strong from the entry...to the nice smooth lingering finish. (1835 views)
Tasted by slippytoad on 8/21/2006 & rated 91 points: Wonderful nose, creamy texture, banana, caramel, apricots rather spicy on the finish though. Very enjoyable on a warm summer's afternoon! (1989 views)
Tasted by bubbachumps on 8/4/2006 & rated 89 points: Subdued aromatic profile, wonderful acidity. Opens up as it gets closer to room temp. Definitely enjoyed this wine. (1999 views)
Tasted by 97mjr on 5/28/2006 & rated 88 points: Muted nose. Apricot, banana, butter. Creamy texture. Some nice qualities, but would not purchase again (2255 views)
Tasted by lbrent on 1/25/2006 & rated 88 points: Nice tropical bannana appricot but a bit hot. (2279 views)

Tablas Creek

Producer website
Tablas Creek Vineyard, founded by the Perrin family of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, is dedicated to growing grape varieties traditional to France's Rhone Valley. The partners chose hilly western Paso Robles for its limestone soils, rugged terrain, and ocean influence. All Tablas Creek wines are estate grown using environmentally sustainable practices.

White Rhone Blend

A white wine containing two or more Rhône varieties, including: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
