Tasted by wolanczk on 1/25/2019 & rated 90 points: Still rich and juicy at 11 yrs old (524 views)
Tasted by cpoulos on 4/22/2016 & rated 87 points: Very well-made wine, as expected, with high acid and classic meaty syrah and mineral notes. It just lacks a little sweetness and sex appeal. (1258 views)
Tasted by SeattlePaul on 6/27/2014 & rated 90 points: Tasted from 375mL in a restaurant setting, so no significant decant time. Opened up bold, fruity and spicy with an inky dark purple color. Stood up well against a steak and various sides. Next day remains (under air 24hrs) are actually showing even a little stronger. As others note, it's more integrated and still quite delicious. Based on this and the fact that aging may be accelerated in 375, I think this wine may not be peaked yet. (1493 views)
Tasted by Newbie Vino on 1/16/2014: A little to spicy for my taste (2041 views)
Tasted by Wino Joe on 6/7/2013 & rated 89 points: Hitting its prime. Wonderful nose of blackberries and lavender. Rich black fruit and jam notes forward and youthful surrounded by some really tight belt leather tannins and a medium finish. (2069 views)
Tasted by vino vidi vici on 4/5/2013: Rich & round with a lovely, lingering finish. Fruit, pepper & spice - yum. *** Even better day 2&3 *** Good stuff. (1690 views)
Tasted by lisaandhenry on 2/23/2013 & rated 90 points: Great wine time to drink now. Good complexity and fine finish (1329 views)
Tasted by austinbeeman- austinbeeman.com on 12/9/2012 & rated 92 points: Superb cold-climate hillside Syrah from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Tastes like a baby brother to wines of the Northern Rhone.
The wine looks Purple colored. It smells like Blackberry, Stoniness, and Black Pepper. It tastes like Blueberry, Fig, Black Pepper, and Stoniness. The body is Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Long. Drinking perfect now.

Syrah

Varietal article (Wikipedia) | (Wines Northwest)

Note that some producers in the Northern Rhone distinguish between simply Syrah and "Serine", the latter described as ‘an ancient clone of Syrah, the berries of which are more oval-shaped and less deeply pigmented than Syrah’ by producer Tardieu-Laurent.

Estate

In the United States, "Wines with “estate bottled” designations must: a) also designate an appellation of origin or an AVA, and both the vineyards and the winery must be located there; b) the grapes must come from vineyards owned or controlled by the winery; and c) the wine must have been produced, from crush to bottle, in a continuous process without leaving the winery’s premises."

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
