Tasted by RMapou on 1/28/2016 & rated 89 points: Black cherry on the nose and palette. Full-bodied. Wish we had more. Only 200 cases were made. (1128 views)
Tasted by corman82 on 3/29/2015 & rated 93 points: Fruity bouquet, soft tannins, long finish. Very nice (1237 views)
Tasted by Ms_pips on 4/27/2013 & rated 91 points: For a Syrah, it was lighter weight more like a Pinot Noir. Great bouquet, opened nicely after just an hour decant. Very nice lingering finish with closing hints of spice and pepper. A good wine, my local get-together of oenophile's gave it a two thumbs up! I would recommend this wine. (2263 views)
Tasted by Fabrini on 11/2/2012 & rated 77 points: Smells like erasers. (2151 views)
Tasted by Nico P. on 6/1/2012: Dark red. Initially very oaky. Dense fruit, rounded tannins. Good length. Gets better as the oak blows off. Will try again in a year or two. Very good. (1954 views)
Tasted by RMapou on 2/24/2012 & rated 90 points: Black cherry nose and flavors. (1464 views)
Tasted by grantsi on 2/14/2012: Drank with leg of lamb...herby, no signs of age, worked well. Pretty good glass of wine but not a great value. (1486 views)

Syrah

Varietal article (Wikipedia) | (Wines Northwest)

Note that some producers in the Northern Rhone distinguish between simply Syrah and "Serine", the latter described as ‘an ancient clone of Syrah, the berries of which are more oval-shaped and less deeply pigmented than Syrah’ by producer Tardieu-Laurent.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
