Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 91.1 pts. and median of 91 pts. in 8 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by JoshUW on 5/26/2014 & rated 93 points: Color: Golden and viscous
Nose: Floral, spicy, caramel butter, fruit cocktail, tangerine, peach and toast.
Palette: Green apple, honeydew rind, peach, limestone.
Overall: Great wine. Good viscous and silky texture. Great aromatics, very nice balance of acid and sweetness. Excellent complexity. (4041 views)
Tasted by Wink on 11/29/2013 & rated 91 points: Served before our Thanksgiving feast as an aperitif. I have nothing to add to my earlier notes, except that this time I made the mistake of serving this AFTER the incredible 2011 Sea Smoke Chardonnay. It seemed a bit anemic by comparison (it is definitely NOT weak by any standard). I should have served these in reverse order. I still really liked it. (4237 views)
Tasted by Wink on 11/10/2013 & rated 93 points: Brought to dinner at Boca. See 9/29/13 note. Floral nose with citrus. Delicious citrus and tropical fruit. Surging, full mid-palate. Excellent length. Creamy/silky texture. Crisp acidity. Pinot Bianco doesn't get any better than this (of course, it is 30% Chard and 10% SB). (4176 views)
Tasted by Wink on 9/29/2013 & rated 93 points: Served to poker group last night. No formal notes. Superb, flavorful wine that bursts with personality. 60% Pinot Bianco; 30% Chard; 10% Sauv Blanc. Mouthwatering acidity and persistence. Loved it. Can't wait to pop another one. (4280 views)
Tasted by Benjamin Wegman on 5/11/2013 & rated 90 points: Very beautiful wine. Very rich and complex, stunning. Paired with open ravioli of lobster, melon and bisque de homard. Was impressed by this wine, very nice and addictive bitterness which melts beautifully. Hope to drink again! (4477 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 4/16/2012 & rated 91 points: Alto Adige Wines Grand Tasting Tour (Westin St. Francis, 32nd Imperial Floor, San Francisco, California): Light medium yellow color; aromatic, tart citrus, tart apple nose; tart citrus, tart apple, mineral palate; medium-plus finish (1750 views)
Tasted by Eric Guido on 2/17/2012 & rated 90 points: Gambero Rosso 2012 (Metropolitan Pavilion): The nose showed sweet floral notes and peach. On the palate, it was smooth and smoky with a mineral twinge that pleased the senses. The staying finish showed citrus notes and lingered for close to a minute on the mid-palate. (2537 views)
