Tasted by jlgnml on 2/9/2015 & rated 90 points: Nice bright color. Good nose, nice smooth cherry flavor. Drinking really well. (220 views)
Tasted by SBrick on 1/21/2014 & rated 92 points: Some funk on the nose. Cherry coke, barnyard funk, mushrooms in a good way, fruity but at all jammy. This is drinking well now. It probably has years left with slight improvement possible. Nice effort and enjoyed by a wide range of tastes amongst three of us. (905 views)
Tasted by jlgnml on 6/23/2013 & rated 88 points: Took it's sweet time to open but while it opened, it drank well. Good not great. (938 views)
Tasted by mikerug on 8/30/2009: Big leathery and spicy notes on the nose, wrapped around a blackberry/black cherry center. In the mouth the wine is full of plump and sweet dark cherry and blackberry fruit flavors, heavily accented by tastes of powedered mocha, fine clean earth, anise, and black pepper as well. Great structure - neighter tannins nor acids are out of balance, though both abound. The finish is very long and brinds the cherry fruit more forward. (1442 views)

Pinot Noir

Varietal character (Appellation America) | Varietal article (Wikipedia)
Pinot Noir is the Noble red grape of Burgundy, capable of ripening in a cooler climate, which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will not reliably do. It is unpredictable and difficult both to grow and to vinify, but results in some of the finest reds in the world. It is believed to have been selected from wild vines two thousand years ago. It is also used in the production of champagne. In fact, more Pinot Noir goes into Champagne than is used in all of the Cote d'Or! It is also grown in Alsace, Germany, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Austria, and so forth, with varying degrees of success.
