Tasted by LW31 on 7/12/2019: Delicious. Another great bottle of this. Holding up beautifully—sappy, deep without being heavy, pure Grenache fruit. Touch of Brett. Perhaps lost some of the floral notes and now showing weightier fruit than before. (1020 views)
Tasted by LW31 on 9/30/2018: Lovely. Still delicious 7 years out. Nice crunchy fruit, lovely tartness, everything has softened quite a bit but still ethereal combination of flavor and depth to weight. These are just exceptional wines. Wouldn’t hold any longer though. (1074 views)
Tasted by Lord Rodney on 7/16/2014 & rated 92 points: We loved it! Just a perfect wine really! Not like Rosé but more like Chateau Rayas - and you can't really complain about that can you?? ;-) (2298 views)
Tasted by don_quichotte on 8/1/2013: Man this is tasty. I've been following the domaine for a while and am yet to have a wine that I don't like. And their tavel is the jewel in the crown. It is a great wine. Not in a hugely complex sort of way but the sheer deliciousness and drinkability are unequaled. Very bright red fruits. What you'd think a Leroy rose would taste like. I buy it whenever i can find it, which is rarely. (2369 views)
Tasted by marc d on 2/13/2013: Fabulous wine. Natural in the best way. Clean fruit, smells sweet but actually dry. Full bodied for rose. Nicely balanced, not too screechy or too ripe. Drink or hold. (2636 views)
Tasted by french16 on 1/1/2013: Beautiful cherry color. Looks and drink like a red wine. Enticing aromas of red fruits: raspberry, strawberry (like a strawberry on the verge of fermenting) and herbs. Blood orange. So fresh, zero sensation of alcohol or jaminess. There's a light tannic structure. Great acid. A real great Tavel and probably one of the most interesting rose in France.
Grenache, cinsault, carignan and clairette. (2091 views)

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.

Tavel

Wiki article on Tavel AOC.
Grenache and Cinsault are the main grapes used in the appellation's wines, along with Syrah and Mourvedre, although the latter two were not permitted until 1969. Tavel wines are dry and tend to have more body and structure than most rosés. They can be cellared, but are usually drunk young.
