Tasted by vinolovers on 5/28/2023 & rated 93 points: Coloring of dark cherry when poured. Lots of notes of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry in a very smooth zin still showing in zinness. Paired with smoky ribs which it handled with aplomb. (166 views)
Tasted by wine-lvr on 5/9/2015: Great full body juicy spicy Zin (17903 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 1/21/2015 & rated 91 points: A nose of jammy dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A Full bodied full throttle Zin, with blackberry, black cherry, vanilla spice on long finish. The alcohol is mostly held in check, a Zin lovers Zin and a great value. www.winelx.com (18149 views)
Tasted by Z1nnfull on 9/3/2014 & rated 91 points: Was looking for a heady red wine that would stand up to my Labor Day BBQ (smoked baby back ribs & brisket) and this fit the bill perfectly.
This is a fully-extracted, mouth-filling Lodi AVA wine with 16% alcohol. Definitely a fruit bomb, so there may be people that do not like this style. There was tremendous depth - blackberry fruit, spice (nutmeg), hint of coffee. Classic Zin tastes, just a bit more on the robust side. Think we paid in the mid-20's for this, worth it. Drinking perfectly now, might mellow a tad in 2015. (18753 views)
Tasted by Bauman on 1/24/2014 & rated 88 points: pretty decent zin for the price. Buy at total wine (19359 views)
Tasted by GusGlitz on 12/31/2013 & rated 85 points: Great full California Zin. (19296 views)
Tasted by sojoknuckle on 11/16/2013 & rated 91 points: This is a very smooth bottle of Zinfandel that is perfect for having as a cocktail. (4057 views)
Tasted by Robwild on 11/4/2013 & rated 89 points: A nice fruit forward Zinfandel. Blackberries and raspberries. Mild tanins and medium bodied. A very value (3729 views)
Tasted by Bauman on 9/22/2013 & rated 90 points: This is an excellent wine for quaffing with style. This one goes on my buy more list. Excellent blackberry and raspberry finish. Good nose. (3546 views)
Tasted by dpgreene on 8/26/2013: Depoe Bay (3177 views)
Tasted by Woodbridge Brad on 8/23/2013 & rated 80 points: At 16% alcohol this is a study in port like ripeness. It really does not work with food nor is it easy drinking, That said it does have nice clear strong flavors but it is like drinking a dry cordial. Too dry for a dessert wine too alcoholic for dinner. (3067 views)
Tasted by stenoman2 on 7/5/2013: - Purple color and aromas of blackberry. It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - A very nice bottle. Very fruity with aromas of blackberries. On my list to purchase again. A good $20.00 bottle. (3286 views)
Tasted by fitchbuck on 6/16/2013 & rated 92 points: Just a tad bit too fruity for how I prefer my zins - otherwise this was a killer bottle, with top-flight QPR to boot. (3227 views)
Tasted by VinoPKM on 6/15/2013 & rated 88 points: Drank both of these too early- tasty wine. But needs some time and air. QPR is starting to lessen on these wine as the price point continue to increase slightly each year. Used to be a $15 Zin and now $20. Great pizza or burger wine or on its own. (2942 views)
Tasted by Peanut2013 on 6/12/2013: The nose is like a baked boysenberry pie or cobbler with Holiday spice.
The finish is warm brown sugar, slightly blackberry sour back-end (2831 views)
Tasted by nicole3eyes on 5/27/2013 & rated 92 points: Always delicious, a real fruit bomb Zin. (2912 views)
Tasted by GusGlitz on 4/19/2013 & rated 82 points: Full fruited wine.

Tasted by Winoluver on 3/5/2013 & rated 90 points: AGM

Drinks like a $40 bottle. Blackberries wt some cinnamon on the finish. A fabulous bottle at any price but especially at $20. (3042 views)
Tasted by agilenut on 1/26/2013 & rated 90 points: The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Blackberry and Red Currant with a hint of Vanilla. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Silky texture. The wine finishes Medium. Overall, very good. (3082 views)
Tasted by flycatblue on 1/13/2013 & rated 91 points: Smooth and velvety with ripe plum notes and hints of vanilla. Paired well with slow cooked braised pork with Chinese Five Spice. Delightful now but should age well in the short term. (3199 views)
Tasted by Justin Bray on 11/1/2012: Huge dark fruit flavors, very intense and luscious. The finish however was very bitter to me, I could definitely taste the ridiculously high alcohol. Perhaps in a couple of years it will soften, but I felt it was there to stay. (2795 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
