Tasted by NickM on 6/24/2022 & rated 89 points: Got lost in the cellar, so consumed very old. Actually, very pleasant, all the tannins melted away. (334 views)
Tasted by stefad on 5/15/2022 & rated 89 points: 10 ans de cave et voici une bouteille à son apogée ! 89/90 (386 views)
Tasted by chbeaumont on 6/28/2015 & rated 86 points: Strong colour; earthiness more to the fore. Remains vigorous. (2661 views)
Tasted by chbeaumont on 2/16/2015 & rated 88 points: Fairly deep colour; quirky nose, plenty of interest; characterful, different, more yet to come? Sufficient backbone to age for a while, but care as it's bottle under a synthetic cork. (2722 views)
Tasted by scheurebebe on 12/4/2014 & rated 89 points: Pepper, little bit of earth, graphite/pencil -- fresh and juicy as hell. Tannins seemingly nowhere. Crazy QPR. (2664 views)
Tasted by elconde on 10/28/2014 & rated 91 points: Excellent from the moment I uncorked it. Satin like finish. (2609 views)
Tasted by Rupert on 9/17/2014: At The Pendleton: juicy, brambly fruit, just a touch of green, agreeable (1173 views)
Tasted by TKS9 on 8/16/2014 & rated 87 points: Earthy red fruit and white pepper. Fairly simple and a little bit disjointed, but much better after being open a couple of hours. (1026 views)
Tasted by eboracum on 8/4/2014 & rated 90 points: Another delicious bottle. Hopefully the caviste is not sold out. (1041 views)
Tasted by eboracum on 7/16/2014 & rated 90 points: This is a real delight with bags of distinctive local personality. Colour is a brilliant but not very deep red with purple tints. The nose is marked by red fruit infused with ivy, pepper and a slightly metallic tang. The medium- bodied palate shows some depth of fruit together with lively tangy acidity, decent backbone and length and plays variations on the aromas from the nose. This is fun in the manner of a great Beaujolais but with a quite different personality. It slips down so easily that the bottle seems too small. Very good. QPR! (997 views)
Tasted by ekallio on 6/16/2014: Again very drinkable, but the '09 was quite a bit fleshier and more full of character. Maybe this is a wine to buy in the warm vintages primarily. (1081 views)
Tasted by ManuKey on 2/24/2014 & rated 87 points: De couleur rubis-pourpre assez foncé. 87/100 (1245 views)
Tasted by zbsussman on 2/21/2014: Lovely. A perfectly fresh and country wine, best served with a light chill. Love that herbal, earthy, Chinon-like bell-pepper note, backed by juicy blackberry fruit. Give me a sunny day, a baguette, and some duck rillettes and call me a happy man. (1385 views)
 Tasted by BoireBio on 1/10/2014 & rated 81 points: 14/20 (1171 views)
Tasted by Duncan on 12/5/2013 & rated 90 points: Lively purple, medium translucence. Attractive nose...raspberry crumble or something like that: not a simple fruit note, is what I'm trying to say, but enticing anyway. On the palate, a caress of fine tannins, a nip of acidity, and lots juicy, acidic fruit. Not a wine that's trying to impress critics or wine prizes: rather a wine to be drunk with food, with enthusiasm and with great pleasure. Recommended. 12.5%. (1217 views)
Tasted by JVG on 12/1/2013: Not impressed. Smelled and tasted like anonymous cheap red wine. (1177 views)
Tasted by french16 on 11/7/2013: Somehow it is hard to pinpoint a particular aromas in this wine. A whiff of cassis and leaf and then something like your grand-ma honey-mint pastille. Graphite notes as well. Similar palate. Light despite a very dark, almost opaque color. Decent structure with round tannins. Not super complex but nice as usual. (1244 views)
Tasted by cardsandwine on 10/9/2013: Medium-bodied, fruity and peppery and delightful to drink. Drink with a slight chill for maximum enjoyment. (1128 views)
Tasted by Brook23 on 9/10/2013 & rated 87 points: Raspberry and difficult to pinpoint secondary aromas earthy touch. Initially seemed thin on the palate but later filled out a bit. Reminded me of a Beaujolais. Smooth raspberry/dark cherry with a little earthy spicy background. Very drinkable. (1381 views)
Tasted by ekallio on 8/19/2013: This might be a bit more supple and less vibrant than the 2009 from a couple of years ago. Still this is simple yet delicious - it's got earthy and spicy flavors with Beaujolais-like mouthfeel and structure. Again I get the feeling that this is meant to be drunk (not sipped) outdoors. (1231 views)
Tasted by Dj6544 on 4/20/2013 & rated 88 points: Bright, thin and savoury with a dry, lean personality but is bursting with raspberry, red cherry and strawberry fruit. Has a slightly toasted finish. A bargain. 88 (1422 views)
Tasted by CharlesDarwin on 4/4/2013 & rated 88 points: Vibrant peppery nose, bolstered with tangerine and grains of paradise. Even, smooth palate produces more citrus, a ton of berries, and some already soft tannins. Playfully complex and vivacious, not too heavy, and balanced. I thought this was rather fine wine for $12.50. (1411 views)
Tasted by Ardross on 3/25/2013: A wine of breathtakingly simple purple freshness . Lovely earthy iron notes from the fer servadou as ever .Crunchy fruit simply delightful and at £8 from TWS a bargain . A primary wine that reminds you of the sheer joy of it (1290 views)
Tasted by nsellen on 3/14/2013 & rated 88 points: I think this is my first fer servadou and the first surprise is the deep colour. Almost opaque suggesting a big wine. Next, the nose; really sweet, perfumed and herby aromatics. Quite unusual and suggesting interesting flavours to come. It tastes rather more conventional than anticipated. Like a well bodied Chinon with more smoke. Still with the lifted, perfumed mid and a sense of sweet, dark fruit throughout. Not as powerful as I thought it would be and it did linger a while after dispatch. Excellent wine and great pqr. (1324 views)
