Community Tasting Notes (average 88 pts. and median of 88 pts. in 2 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by cephomer on 3/12/2013 & rated 91 points: Drank at Ned Chenin Blanc tasting, alongside 1997 QdC from Baumard. This wine, though lovely in its own rite, in my opinion did not stack up well vs the QdC. Nice golden color on the pour, nose of apricots and honey. This wine had good level of minerality, was very smoky, and had a nice balance of fruit to its acidity level, some mentioned shoe polish on the finish. Not nearly as big and jammy as the QdC, which was far richer, youthful and viscous. It is far from being over the hill, however, despite what some other reviewers have stated. I have no qualms holding this wine another 5 years, though I don't see it getting any better than where it is currently (1096 views)
