Tasted by bscotto on 11/22/2017: Thanksgiving Dinner 2017 Michele's. (708 views)
Tasted by Cobbster on 3/13/2008 & rated 85 points: Light nose of fruit, vanilla, and oak. Soft and light on the palate, but a big, tart finish. (3498 views)
Tasted by BWalton on 8/31/2006: Very nice QPR!

Pepper, earthy, and oregano on the nose. BIG chocolate on first sips, medium tannins. No big fruit - more dried fruit dates/prunes/figs.

Halfway through the bottle we both got stewed or sun dried tomatoes on the nose. Not a bad thing - more of a subset of "earthy."

Would like to try this with marinara or pizza. (4074 views)
Tasted by NuTricks on 8/15/2006 & rated 86 points: Indeed, odd smelly nose when 1st opened (not corked but wet dog/leathery?). While I did get some sense of grenache on the palate, it truly was disjointed. By the end of the first night, I kept getting cola notes. Will let it sit and see how it evolves in 24 hours.

No funky smell the second night. I am now getting the licorice notes and the black fruit taste. And, while the tannins are winning the war, the acidity is putting up a valiant effort. I did not decant this and I must say, it's got the longest strands of sediment I've yet to see in a bottle of wine! (4217 views)
Tasted by bhardie on 3/16/2006 & rated 87 points: Grenache like in character, this started off disjointed but rounded out nicely over two hours. Currant, blackberry, minerals and a bit of spiciness. Medium to full bodied. It seemed to become a little fat and overly ripe towards the end. (4708 views)
Tasted by Haj on 3/9/2006 & rated 83 points: Good flavor and smooth, but nothing compared to the 2003 vintage which is so much brighter and more engaging. (4118 views)
Tasted by MJHDC on 2/23/2006 & rated 88 points: Not quite as intense as a prior vintage I've had, this is still a good value Cotes du Rhone-like wine that is enjoyable. It is a medium ruby color, with aromas of spice, soil, and bright red fruits. The flavors are typical for a Grenache-based wine. (2998 views)
Tasted by parrothead on 1/25/2006 & rated 85 points: good everyday wine (3404 views)
Tasted by espia on 5/5/2005: Very nice. Good value. (1787 views)
Tasted by Jan Schultink on 1/9/2005 & rated 88 points: A consistent, excellent QPR, every-day drinking wine. This one was no exception. (3901 views)
Tasted by ajlewis on 11/28/2004 & rated 82 points: Intially an unpleasant odor of barnyard and deer-musk (corked?) and not discernable flavors except dark fruits. Seriously considered dumping it or using it for cooking. Twelve hours later it was drinkable but nothing here to recommend it for further purchase. I located the similarities to grenache but was underwhelmed. (3795 views)
