Tasted by morpheusrising on 1/23/2016 & rated 94 points: Very good, but this bottle seemed to be a bit 'off' compared to others. Other drinkers did not feel so, but my impression was that the acid had fallen off more than expected and that the flavors were a bit muted. In addition, the addition of large amounts of butter was very different than normal.

I shall open another shortly I to make sure that this has not turned the corner or plateaued in some capacity. (793 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 9/3/2015 flawed bottle: Oxidized. (951 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 1/23/2015 & rated 92 points: TLV's Birthday Dinner (Anvil Club): Popped & poured with Chef's lobster cappuccino. Apple, lemon, mineral and tarragon aromas. Citrus, mineral and orchard fruit on the palate. Good weight on the palate and a nice match for the dish. 92-93 pts. (1432 views)
Tasted by thelostverse on 1/23/2015 & rated 93 points: Opened by Allred at Anvil for birthday dinner. This did not show the oxidative note that my previous bottle had, thus I scored it a point higher. This was absolutely fresh with citrus and spice as before - only to a higher tone and better. These are lovely. Thanks for the contribution Allred. (999 views)
Tasted by Vino Me on 1/23/2015 & rated 89 points: Opened by Allred. Showing very well for a 22 year old wine and despite the fact that I find most California Chardonnay rather uninspiring, this was nice. A viscous texture with notes of spice, ginger, lemon blossom and vanilla. I think I was the only one who liked this better than the Ceritas Chard. 89 points. (1261 views)
Tasted by Brian Love on 5/24/2014: Was very concerned on opening as had the same issue as another note - cork saturated and falling apart. But it wasn't oxidized... Very nice wine that is deceptively restrained for the deep yellow and rich color/appearance. Nose was a tad nutty but didn't translate to the taste. (651 views)
Tasted by thelostverse on 3/25/2014 & rated 92 points: Opened at E&S with locals and Vino Bevo in town. Cork was about 90% saturated, and cracked when opening. Slight oxidation on the nose as may be expected in a 21 year old chard. Nose also has baking citrus notes and baking spice, especially cinnamon and nutmeg. Others at the table mentioned oak, but I didn't really detect any myself. Palate similar to nose. A nice treat. (525 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 3/25/2014 & rated 92 points: Opened by TLV. Notes of lemon chiffon cake, stone and minerals. Full-bodied but balanced and bright. Lemon, white peach, pear and stone flavors. Excellent. 92+ pts. (700 views)
Tasted by kanab ram on 1/9/2014: Words can't begin to describe how fantastic this wine was and no one could believe the level of fruit remaining. Absolutely stupendous. Can easily age 5-8 years if cellared well. (546 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
