Tasted by rocknroller on 6/4/2023 & rated 90 points: Very dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over 2 hours. Chocolate, wood, pepper, cassis, and blackberry. The palate shows a good bit of earth and soil, dark fruits, glycerine, menthol, not heavy, very, very peppery on the back end to the point of really dominating things. (468 views)
Tasted by galewskj on 5/6/2023 & rated 92 points: Luis goes to Cahill Bistro: I believe pop and pour, drank a small glass over an hour. Dark and deep, seems a bigger style given that its showing like this 11 years from vintage. There's some interesting green olive, underbrush, blueberry and blackberry. (640 views)
Tasted by I'd Rather Be Drinking Wine on 5/4/2023 & rated 92 points: Another Great Luis Tasting! (Cahill Bistro): Not sure of treatment, suspect PnP. This wine is a GSM blend with about 75% Syrah. A very nice wine and drinking quite well! Nice red and black fruit with a gaminess (in a good way), some bramble and hints of leather and spice. Not shy, but not too big either. This wine begs for roasted meat! A nice wine in a nice place! Plenty of fruit, tannins are smooth. A very nice wine and a solid 92 for me! (802 views)
Tasted by shellylowen on 3/4/2022 & rated 93 points: Full body, blueberry & plum, long finish with lots of wonderful tannins (509 views)
Tasted by shellylowen on 12/2/2021 & rated 93 points: Yummalicious (564 views)
Tasted by shellylowen on 6/12/2021 & rated 93 points: Yum. Plummy nose, smooth tannins, black cherry, long finish. (453 views)
Tasted by dlowrey99 on 2/27/2021 & rated 91 points: from memory: decanted 2 hours; after PnP taste, pretty dark fruited and brooding, juicy and thick on the palate. evolved and improved with time, i enjoyed more on the 2nd day when the finish smoothed out a bit more. (489 views)
Tasted by Duderino on 1/1/2021 & rated 97 points: This wine is near perfect. Wonderful nose, great fruit, and a lasting finish. The nose just keeps getting better as the evening progresses. Mushroom and forest floor. Love it! (496 views)
Tasted by Kayentacellars on 12/9/2020 & rated 94 points: A very nice Syrah predominant GSM blend. (435 views)
Tasted by markcic on 11/5/2019 & rated 92 points: It has been over a year since we last tried a bottle and it is very similar and holding up well with I beleive many years ahead of it.. The nose is dark berry with a hint of green olive. The palate is dark berry, plum, some tree bark and spices. It is the finish, lush, long and smooth that makes this wine special. (841 views)
Tasted by markcic on 6/24/2018 & rated 93 points: Almost a year to the day since I last tried this wine and it is better with the year of aging. The nose is dark berry with a hint of green olive. The palate is dark berry, plum, some tree bark and spices. It is the finish, lush, long and smooth that makes this wine special. We drank alongside a Charles Smith Royal City and this was the better wine at one third the price. Glad I have a few more. (1345 views)
Tasted by JeremyBernton on 4/9/2018 & rated 93 points: Glass from @coravin. Rated a 94 by Robert Parker, this is a Paso Robles blend of 78% Syrah, 14% Grenache, and 8% Mourvèdre. Nose of sweet blackberry pie. Sweet black fruits continue on the front of the palate, but shift to layers of minerals and fine tannins for a long finish. Really seamless and elegant despite having massive concentration. Really delicious and keeps you coming back for another sip. Going to let the rest of the bottle sit for another year or two as I'm confident this bottle will only get better and more complex with age. Will definitely be on the lookout for more. (1212 views)
Tasted by markcic on 6/23/2017 & rated 92 points: A really nice bottle of wine. We opened and poured through a soiree, the nose was dark fruit with a touch of olive. The palate dark berry, plum, olive and some dried herbs. It was full lush feeling in the mouth and a long smooth finish. Drank against a 2010 Reynvaan Unnamed and my dinner guests preferred the Beautiful Earth. (1715 views)
Tasted by tward on 9/17/2016: A bit heavier than I like Syrah based wines, but still enjoyable. Put this out to share with folks who like that wall of dark fruit, a bit of oak, and smooth sweet tannins. If eating, pair with something hearty. (1996 views)
Tasted by Loren Sonkin on 4/19/2016 & rated 91 points: HdR Lunch #2 (Hospices du Rhone): Black cherries and black raspberries on the nose. Smooth attack turns very tannic. Good fruit. Needs some time or air. (2626 views)
Tasted by The Wine Write on 6/2/2015 & rated 92 points: Popped and drank with friends; compared with a Barrel 27 blend from same year. This was a big wine and a crowd pleaser. Lots of fruit, resolved tannins, smooth finish. (2322 views)
Tasted by cubswinws on 4/29/2015 & rated 93 points: Lovely full throttle wine with deep dark fruits and nice spice. Should continue to mellow a bit but I personally would drink sooner to enjoy its youthful intensity. (2271 views)
Tasted by tc from santee on 3/11/2015 & rated 93 points: This Beautiful Earth blend comes out of the bottle with bold clarity. I loved to strength and purity of this wine. It still has some tannic bite but sets up well. Full bodies with a long (45 second) finish. It hits the nose of Blueberries and Blackberries and follows on the palate with Blackberry, flint, tar and herbs. This is a big multidimensional and a big value. (1941 views)
Tasted by Meerlust on 11/27/2014 & rated 91 points: 15.2% alcohol. 78% syrah, 14% grenache, and 8% Mourvèdre.
Dark, black center with a purple rim. A nose of olives, blackberry, plum, gingerbread, and black pepper. The palate begins with gingerbread, black pepper, blackberry, sugar cookie, and herbs. Structurally, this medium-bodied wine has a drying tannic edge with good acidity. Overall, this is a big, tannic wine with a unique flavor profile, that needs at least 5 years to shed its youthful structure and show its true nature. (1921 views)
 Tasted by Silveradoup on 9/19/2014 & rated 93 points: Needs time . . . (1911 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
