Tasted by bon vivant on 7/18/2016: Even better than upon release, this has settled down and is now if a good start of it's drinking window which should be great for another 5 + years and there is lots of material here for more development. Excellent balance. Classic refreshing white fruit with zest and focus and a very easy disposition which makes a good pfalz so easy to put down. Absolutely perffect foil tonight for Thai food. Great QPR (1489 views)
Tasted by KYHospitality on 6/4/2016 & rated 88 points: Big fruity and juicy Riesling. Medium to high acidity when it first hits your palate but juicy flavors of Granny Smith apples and pear quickly follow. Rather long finish salivating the back of my mouth with a refreshing mild citrus after taste of orange. Slightly too sweet for me personally but a very nice wine. (1526 views)
Tasted by pinoteer on 2/13/2016 & rated 90 points: A little sweet for a Kabinett, but still very nice. Great with food or by itself. Lots of fruity acidity. (1628 views)
Tasted by cuffthis on 6/14/2015 & rated 90 points: Light straw in color, this wine shows intense apricot, white peach and flint on the nose. The mouth feel has bracing acidity, pear, minerals and off-dry tones. The finish bring added notes of tangerine and subtle sweetness.

Purchased for $14US, this is well made wine that was an ideal pairing for my sushi for lunch. The 9.5% abv and high acidity left me wanting to drink more. (1974 views)
Tasted by Swaggering Beaunie on 6/12/2015: Pleasant; off-dry, but with sufficient sprightly acidity to prevent it from being cloying. Nice balance of fruit and mineral. I don't usually like off-dry Rieslings, but I think this one is worth seeking out. (1918 views)
Tasted by pinoteer on 2/21/2015 & rated 90 points: No notes taken. (1019 views)
Tasted by yofog on 8/3/2014: A really fun, big, expressive/open nose here, full of honey (though pretty dry). Great value. (1211 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
