Tasted by Francophile on 10/2/2020 & rated 87 points: This was reasonable balanced, nowhere near as resplendent as other wines tonight but would be acceptable to many as a decent accompaniment to a hearty meal (1545 views)
Tasted by Francophile on 6/7/2020 & rated 88 points: A little beyond its window but not feeling tired and quite a nice smooth drink. I wish I had got to it earlier. (1474 views)
Tasted by RWG on 6/5/2020 & rated 89 points: loving this wine. (1442 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 1/10/2020 & rated 86 points: Ripe black fruit with fun and charm, but some rustic edges on finish. Good weight. Fun overall for near-term enjoyment. (2393 views)
Tasted by Aparritz on 8/9/2019 & rated 88 points: I like TWard’s RN here. Definitely rustic, and good, but I’m not ready to shout about this from the rooftops. Very solid weeknight sipper. (1977 views)
Tasted by tward on 7/29/2019 & rated 87 points: I liked this quite a bit more than the bottle four months ago. Ripe but balanced, easy and none of the too-funky rusticity I picked up previously. Solid choice to pair against casual fare coming off the grill. (1314 views)
Tasted by SMHalps on 6/14/2019 & rated 90 points: I don't remember if this was a mystery wine from Garagiste, or just one of their regular offerings. But what a smoking deal! I had this with my wine group at a NYC pizza place. It is a great pizza wine. (1526 views)
Tasted by lelandinmichigan on 4/29/2019 & rated 89 points: Ruddy crimson color with some mild bricking around the edges, showing the wine is mid-age, but not completely dead. Rich aromas of sage brush and raspberry fruit. Makes me think 'southern France'. Flavors of ripe fruit and underbrush. Slightly silky palate feel with some mildly rustic tannic characteristics. Medium to short finish, not too hot, fairly pleasant. Overall a great wine to have with my pizza. I was pleased. (1497 views)
Tasted by markjanes on 4/26/2019 & rated 85 points: continues to be a bit muddled but enjoyable wine. drink up (1241 views)
Tasted by cse on 4/1/2019 & rated 82 points: meh. big and brambly, no sign of the hoped-for burgundian polish. (1161 views)
Tasted by tward on 3/28/2019 & rated 84 points: Dark and deep black fruit, baked earth, scrub brush, but also some funky notes, comes across really rustic to me, even if it does a good job keeping the dense, ripe fruit upright. Good enough wine over a couple of nights, but I never really grooved on this. (1074 views)
Tasted by RyanStotz on 3/27/2019: In damn good shape, not nearing the end of its peak at all, and not likely to do so for at least three years. Very prominent hot black rock, cured meat, spice, and leather support the ripe red/purple fruit better than ever on the nose, and a tense but expressive palate carry the essence of those aromatics elegantly through the finish. Tannins start soft on a medium-light body but get coarser as the wine picks up weight with some air. Plum skin and licorice root pop up on the medium finish and tie it all together nicely. Delicious and only as serious as you want or need it to be. (1026 views)
Tasted by thebonnydooner on 3/14/2019 & rated 87 points: Decent enough, dark and ripe, initially a little reduced but went away with air. (974 views)
Tasted by Nojomoschwa on 1/26/2019 & rated 91 points: This is a fantastic red for $8.99 via Garagiste, with the venerable Anne Gros being involved, I had hoped so … and wasn't disappointed. Quite elegant for the region/blend. (1193 views)
Tasted by krmcgrath on 1/2/2019 & rated 89 points: I really like this wine. Rustic and honest, it's dark and juicy with surprisingly good balance. Food friendly but fine on it's own. Nearly perfect for Wednesday night at under $10. (1299 views)
Tasted by PDX-S on 12/16/2018: No Detailed Notes - This wine was absolutely singing tonight, hitting the sweet spot of smooth maturity with just enough vibrance and acid. Dark complected, stoney, and delicious. (1307 views)
Tasted by markjanes on 12/14/2018 & rated 85 points: essentially the same tasting note... garrigue aromas > fruit, fullish texture, balanced.... drinking at its peak. made me think if grenache as it ages by definition doesn't have the clarity of fruit of some other varietals and maybe it's not a negative. "good" wine (1276 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 12/12/2018 & rated 85 points: Fun black fruit, slightly sweet and jammy with good weight, not much complexity. The 2011 is much better. (1725 views)
Tasted by guchl on 12/12/2018 & rated 88 points: Great value. expressive balance of mineral, fruit and earth. (1221 views)
Tasted by jmcmchi on 12/11/2018 & rated 88 points: Some sediment/sugar residue, so needs to stand for a couple of days before decanting

Red fruit, nice balance, adaptable with a range of foods, enough body to stand up to fairly spicy stuff

Nice (1113 views)
Tasted by davidspieker on 12/2/2018 & rated 90 points: Dark red color with viscus texture. Some sediment. Cherry cola aromas with a little heat. Meaty dark cherry flavor with a lengthy acidic zip that makes this great with food. Not bad on its own either. (1086 views)
Tasted by SMHalps on 11/21/2018 & rated 89 points: Had this with my wine group at a Turkish restaurant. It was a great match for the food. Enjoyed by all, but no one voted it as their favorite (out of 5 reds). Banging QPR from Garagiste. (1218 views)
Tasted by markjanes on 11/19/2018 & rated 82 points: deeply colored, red rim. on the palate moderately aromatic with monotonous red and dark fruit, noticable garrigue aromas, no new oak. on the palate moderate acids, lots of flesh on the midpalate, moderate amount of tannins that are already very well integrated, moderate alcohol. balanced wine with ok length, good intensity, ok complexity. very true to place... balanced, and a bit muddled on the fruit. drink now. at just under $9 very good QPR. (1137 views)
Tasted by randyjc on 11/12/2018 & rated 90 points: Really good - tart, moderately tannic. Black fruit core, red fruit on the edges. Good depth. Incredible for the price. If measuring by QPR, this is a 96. (1398 views)
Tasted by robmatic on 10/17/2018 & rated 87 points: Bright raspberry kissed fruit, forward and light, with a tart rhubarb streak that leaves a bit of a rough palate impression. Plenty of interest though. (1377 views)
