Really lovely balance on the palate, there is complexity and depth to it already. Great length and potential. In the mouth the wine has flavours of slight sour apple, spice and finishes slight better with a struck match quality. Hmm. Despite pronounced medium/high acidity, this has the creamiest texture imagineable. The length and purity of this is endless. The flavours are only as shy as you’d expect from such young Semillon, but, my goodness, this is about the most remarkable young Semillon I’ve ever tasted. You fear that something tasting so good now can age without losing appeal, but who knows… (2721 views) |
