Tasted by Isobel goudi on 5/19/2020 & rated 89 points: Zug lnger Abgang, aber nicht die trinkfreude wie bei vergleichbaren Riesling. (308 views)
Tasted by Isobel goudi on 2/25/2020 & rated 88 points: Hat den Höhepunkt überschritten. Wundert mich etwas, da mit 7 Jahren eigentlich kein alter. Aber vermutlich spielt der heiße Jahrgang 2013!eine Rolle. (308 views)
Tasted by Isobel goudi on 10/20/2019 & rated 90 points: Optisch: klar, intensive Tiefe, goldgelb-bernstein.
(346 views)
Tasted by Deux Chevaux on 9/24/2016: Drwine's note below is accurate for us. Tasted blind. Clearly Alsatian, with some earth and spice, good acid, but overall not very exciting. (1071 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 7/26/2015: Sunday Alsace Flight (SF Wine Trading Company): Medium yellow. Mostly floral tones. Light to medium weight, totally dry. Curiously empty mid-palate (where the fruit is supposed to be!) followed by powerful back end acidity and minerality. Not worth even the modest price. I see I detected some fruit when I tasted this earlier this year, but it was nowhere to be found in this bottle. (1784 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 1/31/2015: Medium yellow. Tea and higher toned perfume. Light, good inner mouth aromatics. Citrus and dried peach, really scorching acidity, full of soil. Extremely interesting wine that has the potential to improve. (1333 views)
Tasted by forceberry on 1/28/2015 & rated 92 points: The village level Riesling of Kreydenweiss from a vineyard located on the same slope right next to Wiebelsberg Grand Cru. 12% alcohol, 3,9 g/l residual sugar, 7,1 g/l acidity, total SO2 53 mg/l.

Quite neutral pale green color. Pure and refreshing nose with somewhat understated, tangy aromas of fresh green apples, slightly funky wild notes, a little bit of complex sponti character and a hint of chopped aromatic herbs. The wine is wild, bone-dry and very lively on the palate with noticeably light and delicate mouthfeel and very crisp, tightly-wound flavors of green apples, pronounced steely minerality, apple peel bitterness, some funky fluoride paste character, a little bit of earthiness and a hint of aromatic VA. The bracing acidity makes the wine feel very crisp, lean and almost austere, yet there are lots of savory yet vibrant flavors offering wonderful counterpoint to offset the austerity. The finish is complex, incredibly mineral and very, very racy with bracing acid-driven flavors of wet stones, pithy grapefruit, mealy Granny Smith apples, some incisive steely character, a little bit of apple blossom and a hint of crunchy white fruits.

A wonderfully bright, racy and vibrant Riesling with very lean and austere character, yet showing incredible depth and complexity to balance that austerity. Overall a remarkably crisp and somewhat nervous effort that might be too sharp and tangy on its own and requires copious amounts of air before serving, but which can stand a great variety of both lighter and heartier dishes. Most likely will be stunning at 10 years of age. As only a entry-level Riesling, this wine is a true testament to the quality of Kreydenweiss winery. Wonderful. (549 views)
