Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 1/16/2016: All egg, same wine its been for a couple of years. '15 is slightly more ripe. Very good pear harvest and the guy who grows this said blow off until pear harvest is done. So this is ripest its ever been so this or around the the 15 is 21.5 brix. (1105 views)
Tasted by THECORKDORK on 12/25/2015 & rated 87 points: Good Chenin Blanc, greatfor the everyday. pithy and hints of beeswax. Not incredibly complex, but tasty. (962 views)
Tasted by al-Zabba on 12/20/2015: Versatile, easy-going, fleshy but not overdone and still far more on the austere side of the spectrum than most domestic Chenin.

Super happy with this and as always, Kenny delivers more than he should for the price. (1027 views)

Varietal character (Appellation America)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson

North Coast

The North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California, covering more than three million acres, includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties, and portions of Marin and Solano counties. (see The Wine Institute for more information)
