Easy to drink and enjoy with 12.5% ABV. (598 views) | | Tasted by aekenback on 4/22/2017 & rated 89 points: Rustic nose with some barnyard. Wild strawberry and tart red fruit. Very lean and high acidity. Fine grained tannins. (1529 views) | | Tasted by cct on 3/1/2017 & rated 89 points: Translucent ruby. An interesting and contrasting nose with mostly red fruits juxtaposed with barnyard, a savory meatiness, tar, singed herbs, and a subtle floral lift. Medium light weighted, with good acidity and a sense of balance. An understated, very drinkable wine that is complicated enough to keep you interest, a great companion to food, and easy to enjoy. Lovely 89 (1767 views) | | Tasted by aekenback on 5/21/2016 & rated 89 points: Light and elegant. Slight touch of barnyard. Quite similar to Beaujolais, but with higher acidity and sharper tannins. (1650 views) | | Tasted by rlove on 11/19/2015 & rated 86 points: Visit to Giuseppe Rinaldi (Barolo, Piemonte, Italy): Medium red. Perfumed nose of strawberry and plum with an unfortunate bretty undertone. Light and energetic, nice acidity, soft tannins. My notes are unclear; this came from bottle but may be yet unreleased. GIUSEPPE RINALDI
A family-run production company, it exclusively produces grapes produced from its own vineyards. At the beginning of the 19th century, Battista Rinaldi was a cultivator of some vineyards of the Feudo of the Marquises Falletti di Barolo. Later he became a farmer owner and, initially, a seller of the grapes produced. Later, with his sons, he became a winemaker and bottler. The same company tradition, of character and craft dimensions, today continues with Giuseppe Rinaldi and the fifth and sixth generation daughters. The company produces Barolo for about 60% (Brunate vineyards, Le Coste, Cannubi-San Lorenzo, Ravera) and for the rest, Piedmontese wines such as Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo and Freisa delle Langhe, Ruchè.Italy Italian Wines (ItalianMade.com, The Italian Trade Commission) | Italian Wine Guide on the WineDoctorPiedmont Vignaioli Piemontesi (Italian only) On weinlagen-infoLanghe Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Roero | Union of Producers of Albese Wines (Albeisa)Langhe DOC Union of Producers of Albese Wines (Albeisa) |
