Tasted by GaijinSan on 5/19/2019: intense tightly focused fruit with medium tannins. Opened up and finished smoothly with tart dried plum and crushed pepper. (268 views)
Tasted by joet626 on 4/19/2019 & rated 87 points: Sort of funky, earthy taste masking any fruit. Disappointing (266 views)
Tasted by westcoastwannabe on 11/2/2018 & rated 90 points: Decanted for an hour. Really nice fruit-forward but balanced zinfandel with good acid level and smooth finish. (378 views)
Tasted by cj.haaland on 3/13/2018 & rated 93 points: This was a beautiful wine and exactly what I'm looking for in a Zin. Well structured with balanced acidity. Approachable right out of the bottle but continued to open beautifully over the next hour+. (510 views)
Tasted by now_in_mi on 4/23/2016 & rated 88 points: Intense Zinfandel with all the boldness expected from Dry Creek, very smooth on the finish. (822 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
