The positive on this wine is at 28 years it is "not bad or funky". The negative is the wine have no aromas, no flavor and finishes with smooth tannins. Where did the fruit go? This is a good Napa vineyard site.
This wine needs the imagination of wine critic to make up aromas and favors.
A side note, I heard a computer program is now starting to generate critics notes. It is doing well against critics as we know critic assessments are random. I sense they have load the words critics use. Wish I was young enough to do this. Who is fake news - critic or the program? It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world.
