| Community Tasting Notes (average 91 pts. and median of 91 pts. in 3 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by Lousyfreak on 5/10/2022 & rated 91 points: Cool climate shiraz for sure. The nose took some time to open up. Nice cherry chocolate with that nice smooth light pepper on the nose.
Palate is a tad too sweet. Everything is nicely integrated. Ready to drink now. (384 views) | | Tasted by pclin on 2/25/2018: Plenty of tannins but lightly extracted and no excess woods. ABV 13% with no heat. Good balance. This is actually quite delicious, one of the better Shiraz today. Cooler climate in Canberra? (1433 views) | | Tasted by graemeg on 1/15/2017: Hunter Valley - 4 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 13%, A$65} A cool spearmint touch, with red berry aromas. Tight, cool-climate assertiveness on the palate, with fine grainy medium tannins and subtle oak. Medium weigh and finish. Too young, but otherwise attractive wine at a silly price. Again ten years cellaring will aid development. (1907 views) |
