Tasted by Rudolph Schmidt on 1/20/2018 & rated 87 points: N: A punch of green pepper dead smack into your schnoz, oak, red/purple fruits
P: Red fruits, oak, a touch of smoke, tannins
F: Dry, medium finish, slight acidic

Overall I enjoyed this wine. It's not super special, but after you have a sip, it leaves you wanting another one. (921 views)
Tasted by JCC84 on 4/23/2017 & rated 86 points: Med+ acidity. Med- powdery tannin. Med body. Med- finish.

13% abv. Medium ruby red, purplish hues. Fast tears. Medium intensity aromas of blueberry, black cherry, vanilla, smoke and a hint of watermelon. Palate is medium bodied with powdery tannins and flavours of dried fruit/raisin, black cherry and smoke/spice on the medium finish. Acidity is just a tad out of balance.

Appassimento style Bordeaux blend. Did not have an aerator on hand when trying this. Will try again in 24 hours. (918 views)
Tasted by Annie Lee on 3/30/2017 & rated 85 points: Good blend, a bit tight and could age a bit longer. Green pepper, blueberries, oak, a bit of spice near the finish. Let this one sit for another 6-12 months and decant before enjoying it. (875 views)

Red Bordeaux Blend

Red Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux. These newly approved grapes are Marselan, Touriga Nacional, Castets, and Arinarnoa.

Wineries all over the world aspire to making wines in a Bordeaux style. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association to identify wines made in this way. Although most Meritage wines come from California, there are members of the Meritage Association in 18 states and five other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico.
