Tasted by kassim10 on 2/26/2021 & rated 90 points: Unusual version of a Rhone blend. Medium bodied and easy to enjoy by itself and with appetizers. Really liked it. (320 views)
Tasted by jfdramis on 12/11/2019: Quel vin agréable à boire! (558 views)
Tasted by SuperSomm on 1/10/2019: Ruby red colour. Red berries, pepper and plum. Taste of red berries, plums and spices. Firm tannins and high acidity. Long and dry finish. Goes well with light or red meat. (40 views)
Tasted by Wine Ratings on 11/14/2018: I could wax philisophical about what this wine is about, but frankly Folk Machine says it best themselves: “The fifth vintage of the...red wine blend continues to fit into our ideas and hopes of what a California bistro wine can and should be. Light on its feet, great with food, fun and easy to drink, and affordable”. Couldn’t put it any better myself, and boy does this bottle deliver on those sentiments! Immediately expressive, the wine throws brilliantly bright red fruit and perfectly balanced spice at you with every sip. Strawberry, raspberry, plum, pepper, gravel, mint, anise, woodiness, hickory - just loads of fun! Or maybe a more concise summary is in order; how about bursting pomegranate seeds and gushing cherry candy? Whoa, this hits the spot. (462 views)
Tasted by FjordogFjell on 9/20/2018 & rated 88 points: Smakt på mini-vinmesse på Gaffel og karaffel. Saft på en god måte. 210 NOK (342 views)
Tasted by Vanja1 on 7/23/2018 & rated 89 points: Saftig, fruktig, noe tanniner og fin syre. Herlig vin å bare kose seg med og fin til grillet svinekjøtt. (941 views)
Tasted by Schweigaard on 6/9/2018 & rated 89 points: Wonderful spicy aromas with black + red fruits. Follows up with similar flavours, all in harmony. Medium body. A pleaser when it comes to both acidity and fruitiness. Ends smooth and dry. Long. Interesting blend this! (884 views)
Tasted by wineshlub on 2/5/2018 & rated 89 points: Popped and poured. Rich strawberry aroma. Tart raspberry flavors up front, which carry all the way through. Linear, refreshing, firm, great staying power. Good QPR. (860 views)
Tasted by Mike Kopanski on 9/19/2017 & rated 88 points: First impression is plum softness. Very smooth, refined and approachable as we would expect from a Washington State red wine. Super dark purple color, though a little less than full bodied. Many secondary, supporting tree bark and road tar flavors. Ripe blueberry on the roof of the mouth. Appropriate, moderate oak. Noticeable heat. Fades a bit toward the finish. (897 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 5/25/2017: Has that feint hint of dustiness of Carignan, bit of Syrah black fruit showing itself in there? A bit discombobulated but it will come around. Bill notes nice and bright. (1232 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
