Tasted by guzmana on 7/8/2019 & rated 88 points: Decent Ch with significant oakiness but some freshness to balance it. Good price to quality ratio. (566 views)
Tasted by guzmana on 2/28/2019 & rated 88 points: Consistent with prior notes. A bargain at this price. (623 views)
Tasted by drum-wine on 12/30/2018 & rated 88 points: Very approachable wine. Oak, vanilla, toast, apple, banana (805 views)
Tasted by mlutsky67 on 9/1/2018 & rated 85 points: The wine is rich with fruit flavors. It also has a very strong oak overtone. When I first opened the bottle, it was a bit too cold and the fruit was lost in the oak. As it warmed up, the fruit came forward more. I found the taste to be temperature dependent. Don't rush to judge as I almost did. You will miss out on a good wine for the price. (936 views)
Tasted by Tiderunner22 on 5/12/2018 & rated 87 points: Nice wine which paired well with first fresh caught fluke of the season. Drinks well with food or alone. (1400 views)
Tasted by Parnelli on 4/19/2018 & rated 86 points: For the price, this is a nice everyday quaffer. Better than other bargain chards ... went well with the shrimp. Would buy again. (1089 views)
Tasted by similia on 3/9/2018 & rated 87 points: Nicht so opulent, gute Säure, etwas Pikant (973 views)
Tasted by RajeshA on 1/26/2018 & rated 86 points: Decent fruity nose. A nutty taste when first in mouth and finishes on more fruity notes. A decent though not exceptional drink. Nothing to say, fun and easy to drink. Had it with Oysters as an aperitif. (896 views)
Tasted by Bax62 on 1/14/2018 & rated 85 points: Oaky with tropical notes. Not my style, but well made. (716 views)
Tasted by RajeshA on 1/6/2018 & rated 85 points: Nice nose. Pleasant in mouth. (490 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 12/7/2017: Ripe and straight ahead. (840 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 11/10/2017: Ripe tropical fruit, lots of wood, probably kinda fake but doesn't really show, (905 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 9/19/2017: SMells actually pretty good. Well, I almost hate to say it but for big chard with good acidity it works it out at $8. (988 views)
Tasted by guzmana on 6/7/2017 & rated 88 points: A bargain at this price. With a significant amount of oak which gives creaminess, spice and a bit of smokiness. More wood than I would like. But has nice fruitiness which balances it. (618 views)

The Chardonnay Grape

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
