Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 1/5/2010: Good god this is good. A lemon lime thing on the nose that wasn't there a couple of months ago. And then all chalk or wet granite to the nose. The palate is this big textural exploration and I swear the finish lasts for two minutes. Wild wine. Just starting to enter its drinking window in my opinion. Not quite getting the "Jermann" nose yet. (3242 views)
| Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 10/31/2009: So my thought was that this keeps getting better and better with air. I decided to put that thought to the test. I decanted a 375 ml in a Riedel duck at 8 am, poured it back into the bottle at 10:30, and let it stand open until 2. I tasted it lightly all the way through that time.
And it does keep getting better and better. Where (or should I write were?) it used to be just toasty Chardonnay its now amaretto, spice cookies, some chardonnay fruit, touch of bannana, mineral heading towards iron, with an incredibly lengthy finish. And its always changing, everytime I go back to it. It seems to keep getting brighter and brighter orange and citrus. Crazy little wine!
Tasted alongside Kongsgaard Chardonnay just to see what a domestic IGT wine is like. (3284 views) |
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 12/22/2008: Just begining to peak around the corner with its stoney minerality and sweet fruit. A baby. But it went well with the mint pesto so no regrets. (3400 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 9/10/2008: This is probably the best Where Dreams that I have ever tasted. Does it just need time to calm down? (3595 views)
Tasted by Lorien on 6/27/2008 & rated 95 points: Outstanding! VERY impressive wine which offers close to perfect balance with fresh and very appealing acidity, all within a very enjoyable fruity profile that is typical to Friuli. LOVELY!! (6864 views)
Tasted by mouton45 on 5/27/2008 & rated 88 points: A bit disappointing. This was not as good as somebottles I have drunk. There was sherry notes on te noise. The wine didn't necessarily taste like chardonnay. Last bottle. Oh well... (1763 views)
Tasted by kennyg on 3/14/2008 & rated 91 points: Medium yellow color, apples and honey on the nose and velvety supple, full bodied white with mild tannins and buttery texture with protracted somewhat acidiic finish. A very pleasurable chardonnay (1710 views)
Tasted by trankin on 1/27/2007: Peter Pratt's Luguresque Offline - Italian Table (Peter Pratt's Inn - Yorktown Heights): Reall nice. Much nicer on initial approach than a bottle of this I opened on Monday. Both bottles filled out to very similar places, although this one I think showed just a tad better. Lovely floral notes, some nice fruit complexity and some mineral notes as well. (3034 views)
Tasted by trankin on 1/22/2007 & rated 91 points: Very funky on the nose at first. Almost like it's corked, but not quite the same odor. Fortunately, it blows off after 30 mins or so. Fills out beautifully and becomes a lovely, elegant wine. (1977 views)
