Tasted by JoeDwine on 4/23/2023 & rated 90 points: With Sushi…
Nice edge still very fresh.
Match book flint, citrus lime more than lemon, steely edge, mild green apple. Started to fade around 90 minutes .
Great QPR (322 views)
Tasted by OmiyaDrinker on 5/11/2021 & rated 85 points: Grass, elderflower, cream, gooseberry, pear, almond on the nose. Medium - body, a little alcohol on the finish surprisingly, a little green and overly vegetal on the palate. Nice chalky minerality on the finish. This improved a little with air but the balance is out for me. (1359 views)
Tasted by VlgJeff on 8/9/2020 & rated 92 points: PnP, chilled. Even better than our previous bottle on 3/20/19 as this bottle seemed to be more integrated. Along with the grapefruit, hay, and herbal notes there were some notes of pineapple, along with a streak of minerality. The acidity is medium to plus, which makes this a very crisp, mouth cleansing quaff. Could hold for another couple of years. (1708 views)
Tasted by Keith Clark on 3/8/2020 & rated 89 points: This is an outstanding Sancerre - in my limited experience of good Sancerre! Very light straw, silvery colour. Fruity and slightly floral nose (but no mineral) - green apples, a little elderflower, very fresh. More complex in the mouth than on the nose - with a little dry chalk behind the fruit. The fruit is green apple, maybe some pear drop, perhaps nectarine. Lovely and fresh and with some good complexity. A lingering fruit finish (2028 views)
Tasted by Edstjohn on 6/14/2019 & rated 92 points: Yum. Mouthwatering. Honey, citrus, a bit floral and minerality, almost saline. Very good mouthfeel, full flavor great acidity. (2584 views)
Tasted by ohne_musik on 5/17/2019 & rated 88 points: Lively Sancerre, with good acid and texture. A bit of grass, chalk, steely minerals and a hint of neutral oak. Starts with lemon and gooseberry, but fleshes our into riper stone fruit with a hint of mango, but nothing like the NZ SB we had the night before. (2509 views)
Tasted by R2-D2 on 4/28/2019 & rated 91 points: Mini-Cellar Diminishment Party & Blind Cabernet Bordeaux Blends (Temecula, CA): Lots of tropical fruit notes, high minerals but super smooth in the mouth. (2034 views)
Tasted by VlgJeff on 3/20/2019 & rated 91 points: PnP, chilled. A wonderful presentation of Sancerre from one of our favorite producers. All the elements of a cooler climate sauvignon blanc without shouting in your face (as some of the NZ versions do). Grapefruit, hay, and herbal notes fill the palate, along with a streak of minerality. The acidity is medium to plus, which makes this a very crisp, mouth cleansing quaff. Sure to hold for at least a couple more years.
Drank with moules et frites and it kept the meal lively. (1456 views)
Tasted by Cellarseller on 3/16/2019 & rated 91 points: Excellent smooth fruit and long, pleasant finish. Not overly sharp or acidic. (1481 views)
Tasted by JohnRMurdoch on 3/9/2019 & rated 90 points: Woody peach and apricot (1016 views)
Tasted by Winowhyno on 3/3/2019 & rated 90 points: Great deal for $18 (1016 views)
Tasted by mjgkng on 2/16/2019 & rated 88 points: Grapefruit. (978 views)
Tasted by Winopatel on 1/13/2019: Lots of Mineraliry. Crisp citrus. Clean pear finish (1094 views)
Tasted by Jobu on 12/24/2018 & rated 90 points: Lemon, citrus, minerals. Decent acidity. (934 views)
Tasted by TexasBob on 11/23/2018 & rated 90 points: Fairly clear with a lite golden sheen. A light citrus saline vibe on the nose. Lite, sweet lemon notes with bracing minerality. Refreshing and pleasant. (1154 views)
Tasted by smphelps on 10/8/2018 & rated 88 points: Off white. Not as crisp as some, but firm with lemon, grass, green unripe pear, light lime. Fair value widely distributed. (1057 views)
Tasted by Nitanylyn on 7/27/2018 & rated 90 points: Crisp and dry, tastes like summer at the beach! (827 views)
Tasted by mwneil on 7/13/2018 & rated 88 points: Dependable wine vintage to vintage, a bit fruity for a Sancerre but it drank nicely as it warmed up, medium bodied , drank with shrimp with spinach ravioli, good acid, will drink again as it is a decent value. (1380 views)
Tasted by pdev on 6/14/2018 & rated 83 points: Stone, wet mowed grass, there's a funky rot note...maybe it will blow off. (1152 views)
