Tasted by scorbett on 5/30/2021: Bright flavors of berries of all colors, as well as some herbs.

Very enjoyable, simple, low priced Tavel. Chill and enjoy. (578 views)
Tasted by biggie on 5/12/2021 & rated 88 points: Root Day - Tried and enjoyed the 2018 so ordered it for the store. Received some 2018 and some 2017. 🤨 So I brought a bottle of the 2017 home to see how it compares to the 2018.
Strawberry with orange tints in the glass - showing maturity. Nose of raspberry and strawberry, faded rose petals and dried herbs. On the palate, minerality hits first with dried strawberry and orange zest. Seems light and a bit faded on the palate but the long finish has the strawberry, orange, dried florals, and some saline and minerality. Medium plus acidity keeps it alive - very light on the tannins (any that were there are mature and soft). Very good and quite pleasant - can drink by itself as opposed to the 2018 which needs food. At the end of its tenure though - definitely a drink this summer wine. (709 views)
Tasted by Daltond333 on 11/27/2019: Deep pink. Precise watermelon, rose, bitter orange peel, cream, herb. Very round mouthfeel, medium body. (779 views)
Tasted by Ken332 on 7/11/2018 & rated 87 points: This is quite a nice rose from Tavel, particularly at this price. Look forward to drinking more of these. (1027 views)

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.

Tavel

Wiki article on Tavel AOC.
Grenache and Cinsault are the main grapes used in the appellation's wines, along with Syrah and Mourvedre, although the latter two were not permitted until 1969. Tavel wines are dry and tend to have more body and structure than most rosés. They can be cellared, but are usually drunk young.
