Tasted by MJR21401 on 3/26/2021 & rated 90 points: Was supposed to have this with pasta at Italian restaurant. Couldn’t find a parking spot in congested and COVID opened National Park area so went to our favorite Thai place. Somewhat overwhelmed by the food but here it goes.
Color was more than Rose, closer to protective red-orange used in plastic bottles for vitamins. Beautiful fresh nose of strawberry and red apple. Some orange citrus. Expected some flint or minerality but I think the chili in the food masked any other tones. The palate was similar however the tannins as well as a good acid base were still present. Nice long finish. Would love to try with a more subtle cuisine or by itself. (1675 views)
Tasted by BBerzin on 10/15/2020 flawed bottle: Was a bit off, not sure if it was the bottle or my storing of it. (1902 views)
Tasted by Shiaxonna on 7/8/2020 & rated 89 points: Raw succulent drinking pleasure, as always... (2213 views)
Tasted by Shiaxonna on 4/23/2020 & rated 90 points: Wonderful and fantastic like all my previous bottles. Raw pure succulent drinking pleasure. Rounder and more full than my previous bottles... (2630 views)
Tasted by Rollerball on 9/11/2019 & rated 90 points: Gently sweet and then abruptly real phenomenal! Pair with Chinese: beef, duck, sea bass, prawns. (3930 views)
Tasted by canan on 7/30/2019 & rated 91 points: Really and excellent wine with lots to love. Very nice fruit definition of cranberry and strawberry but also with a touch of "funk". Acidity is very tight and overall a summer-wine. (2867 views)
Tasted by Shiaxonna on 7/7/2019 & rated 89 points: Very much like last time I tried it. Yummy! (2719 views)
Tasted by Bathtub58 on 6/2/2019 & rated 91 points: Decanted and consumed over 1 hour. The aromatics intensified with air. Moderate strength aromas of wild strawberry, white flowers, rhubarb, and rasberry bush. Medium body. Moderate strength flavors of white flowers, rhubarb, and red berries. Light tannins on a light-moderate length finish. Light-moderate complexity. Very drinkable. Unsure on the upside. (2853 views)
Tasted by Nillo on 5/24/2019 & rated 100 points: Kreeeem (2637 views)
Tasted by forceberry on 5/19/2019 & rated 90 points: The wine formerly known as Contadino. 12,5% alcohol.

Pale and quite translucent rose hip color. Juicy nose with youthful aromas of rose hips, some lifted and subtly fragrant floral tones, a little bit of perfumed sauvage character of brett and a touch of ripe cherry. The wine is fresh and light-to-medium-bodied on the palate with bright flavors of wild strawberries, some ripe cranberry tones, a little bit of white peach, light stony mineral tones and a hint of juicy golden apples. High in acidity with subtle tannic grip. The finish is long, fresh and gently grippy with bright flavors of wild strawberries, some cranberries, a little bit of white peach and a hint of stony minerality.

A wild yet very polished and fruity little Etna with remarkable freshness and sense of brightness. Not unlike a Poulsard with a subtly volcanic character. Perhaps unambitious compared to the more serious efforts of Cornelissen, but very delicious all the same. Lovely. (1147 views)
Tasted by Finare Vinare on 5/10/2019 & rated 91 points: Frankie's calling card. It shows the whole spectrum of fruit, from green apples and rhubarbs, via blood oranges and red cherries, to distinctly sweet blackberry flavours. So juicy, refreshing, and rewarding. Drinks as a charm now, almost a year after it was bought. Luckily, the new vintage arrives soon (disclaimer: ITB with Swedish importer Vin & Natur) (2392 views)
Tasted by flah00 on 5/4/2019 & rated 91 points: Rustic, yeasty, slightly tannic. Strawberry greens and a light berry aroma... Perhaps a touch too yeasty. But overall tasty. (1747 views)
Tasted by Beerzebub on 12/26/2018: P&p. Herbaceous and fruity aroma, with a pleasantly sharp pungency, like cranberry-strawberry juice infused with juniper berries and citrus peel, along with a soft, typically Etna waft of smoky rocks. Similar flavors, fresh, fruity, citrus-peely, herbaceous. Good acidity. A healthy dose of bitterness develops toward the finish, making it quite refreshing and moreish; evocative of an aperitivo. Tasty, characterful, fun wine; very different/"natural" style, done well. (2388 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 12/9/2018 & rated 92 points: Singing beautifully tonight. Ripe red fruits and orange peel and some tasty au naturel funk. (2021 views)
Tasted by vindictive on 11/23/2018: medium to full bodied rose', citrus peel quinine, grapefruit, develops nicely with time in the glass, very enjoyable and recommended although we all thought the Enderle and Moll rose' was better (1990 views)
Tasted by mattstolz11 on 10/31/2018 & rated 89 points: Fresh and crisp, with a decent red fruited component backed up by a bitterness that is maybe slightly out of balance (my wife called it "hoppy" and I don't think she's too far off). Refreshing and worked well with roasted veggies though. (2032 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 10/19/2018 & rated 90 points: A little funkier maybe some mercaptans. (1989 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 10/2/2018 & rated 92 points: Alive and wild with red fruit, earth, and burnt orange peel. (1550 views)
Tasted by dougsmith on 9/8/2018 & rated 91 points: Light ruby color with an orange tinge. Complex on the nose with elements of clove, orange peel, tart apple, and stone. Medium bodied and floral on the palate, slight petillance on the attack smooths out on the finish. (1638 views)
Tasted by diggydan on 9/5/2018 & rated 92 points: Jolly and with some nice citrusy orange peel notes and lively acidity. (1541 views)
Tasted by Vicc3 on 9/4/2018 & rated 88 points: Rökig och stallig, mycket röd frukt som torkade jordgubbar, körsbär och rabarber, lätt och syrlig, röda vinbär, salt och josig (1326 views)
 Tasted by diggydan on 8/31/2018 & rated 92 points: A sweet-fruited, sun-shine ripe joy. $60 at Etto. (1393 views)
Tasted by jdrago on 8/25/2018 & rated 93 points: Very enjoyable wine. First time trying the Susucaru; had heard good reviews and recommended by several people and was not disappointed. Aromas were very pleasing: smoky, perfumed, lime sherbet, vanilla, black raspberry. On the palate it was very full body with taste of strawberries, straw and stones.

Initially tasted at refrigerator temp and later at about 55 degrees. Definitely better at the warmer temperature. The wine evolved nicely over the first 1.5 hours.

Tried with several different foods and cheeses and the pecorino with truffles stood out as the best. (1456 views)
Tasted by Shiaxonna on 8/19/2018 & rated 89 points: Bitter and grainy. Biodynamic and fruit driven. Fresh and succulent. Lively and lovely. A joy to drink. (1451 views)
Tasted by namertens on 7/31/2018 & rated 89 points: This was a very interesting wine, certainly developed over the course of a few hours, I would recommend either decanting for an hour or shaking the bottle once it's open. That volcanic minerality is right up front on the nose, with lots a baking spice notes and white currents. Clearly plenty of skin contact, a light grip of tannins initially which can hold up to a fair bit of spice. The fruit profile has bruised and overripe crab apple and strawberry, underripe red current, and near the end of the bottle was showing lots of savoury tones like tarragon and Brettanomyces. Acid was moderate plus, I'd say (we were drinking it between glasses of Ganevat which were way higher in acid which may have thrown my brain a bit—fun night). I got a couple of these brought back from Sicily as a gift, so I'll probably sit on the other bottle for another few months to let it chill out from travelling. (1635 views)

Nerello Blend
