Tasted by Uvebrant on 2/8/2020 & rated 90 points: Dark straw colour, sherry notes and oaky (1144 views)
Tasted by thewiz on 7/10/2014 & rated 90 points: Golden-yellow colour.
The nose shows Deep oily notes of honey.
The palate is smooth of silk with a nice long buttery finish.

Exotic notes as weill of course, and very mature. Still perfect with a bit more 'heavy' fish like the grilled spicy salmon we had. (3444 views)
Tasted by thewiz on 11/30/2013 & rated 89 points: Honey-yellow colour.
Honey, nuts, soft and creamy palate. Nice, but very mature bottle. Matched the scorzonera soup perfectly though. (3055 views)
Tasted by thewiz on 6/5/2010 & rated 89 points: Honey and lemon in a nice combination. (4695 views)
Tasted by archambault on 5/29/2010 & rated 91 points: Couleur jaune teintant miel accompagne un homard ou crabe....Bien équilibré, il dégage des arômes floraux qui s'harmonisent avec les mets d'accompagnement.... (5170 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 11/17/2009: I am content with very little...that is not true! Deep golden colour for a "tropical nose": Banana, pinneapple, coconut, cassava, yam...but I could not find any trace of butter, sorry. Creamy, greasy even, lovely acidic wine in mouth. An outstanding Chardonnay? Hmmm, do not believe so. Its only attraction is its curiosity value. By the way, 30 € seems to be too much for this bottle.

(4773 views)
Tasted by Ian S on 9/4/2009: Rich but moderately bright golden colour.

Butter, nuts, honey and lemon on the nose.

On the palate, quite mouthfilling and full-on, but not objectionably so. The finish is very buttery, long yet not carrying the rest of the wine along with the butter. It also seems as if the alcohol is sticking out a little.

Overall decent, even enjoyable and with some complexity/impact. At (IIRC) £10 paid it's fair value, but this was in a sale. I'd not be keen to pay more than £12 considering the greater enjoyment I'll get from wines in the £15-£20 range. It's too clumsy in comparison. (3037 views)
Tasted by Anders C J on 3/9/2009 & rated 89 points: As usual a very balanced and buttery chardonnay. Elegant as a very great puilly montrachet or equivalent. Had it with sea cray fish (langustine) bisque, redwine fried salted pork (bacon like) and some foccacia. (2875 views)
Tasted by GraemeBell on 2/3/2009 flawed bottle: Deep yellow colour - verging towards sherry-like - was a worry. Backed up by the oxidised nose, sherry palate and bitter finish. This must have been badly stored pre-purchase as I only bought it today. (2192 views)
Tasted by bluevespa on 1/1/2009 & rated 91 points: Had the color of an older sauternes. A blast of oak and vanilla with nice acidity and plenty of exotic fruits. Big, fat, and bold. Odly, was a perfect match with assorted italian cold cuts and hard cheese. (2174 views)
Tasted by Beck on 1/2/2008 & rated 90 points: Good aroma, a little vanilla and tropical flavors, good finish but a little flat in the middle. A very good non-buttery chard. (2609 views)
Tasted by AtlantaBill on 12/3/2007 & rated 90 points: Golden color. Aroma of honey, banana and pineapple. Flavor of honey with a bit of coconut. Luscious mouthfeel with bright acid support. Long, long finish. Good stuff. (2657 views)
Tasted by mammageorgie on 11/7/2007 & rated 93 points: this is a wonderful chard...fruity, nicely balanced and fabulous nose. (3250 views)
Tasted by Pacherant on 7/15/2007 & rated 91 points: Full bodied and rich. Noticable oak but a good zesty acidity and rounded fruit flavours fill out a good mouthfeel. (3126 views)
Tasted by Sunavagun on 3/3/2007 & rated 90 points: Tasted 3. March 2007 Purchased from Sam's for approx. $39. The nose on this wine is unbelievable and simply blows you away. Fresh exotic fruits smothered with carmel. As it breathes you'll find this beauty dance and marvel you with incredible aromas. On the palate, this is really full bodied with very expressive fruits, but very smooth & rich, with vanilla and oak. The finnish is LONG and really pleasing. (2995 views)
