Tasted by Isobel goudi on 1/5/2024 & rated 91 points: Dunkle Früchte Kräuter Minze etwas Fleisch kühl gute Struktur säure tannine gut eingebunden (505 views)
Tasted by to_sty on 12/20/2023 & rated 89 points: No decant but still a little less intriguing than the last time. Might be going over the top ... (506 views)
Tasted by Caruso on 11/12/2023 & rated 91 points: Purple. No detailed note. This is just the same as three years ago. Maybe it has shed some of its tannin, but it was smooth even years ago. Of course no decant is necessary nor a benefit. 5/12/17/7. Though it seems to withstand the time, one point less than previous note, because I don't believe in a longer drinking window as previous predicted. -2028 (597 views)
Tasted by WY Leonidas on 5/18/2023 & rated 91 points: Deep purple color. Gorgeous nose of blackberries, black pepper, black cherries, nutmeg, and a violet floral note. Plush and silky texture. Huge mid palate, with loads of black fruit, and spicy black pepper and a cinnamon nite on the finish. Excellent balance, and very nice blend. The syrah is very prominent here, in a good way. Very nice! (1084 views)

Tasted by Kento61 on 7/17/2022 & rated 90 points: I like this for an everyday wine. Well rounded and works with many dishes (1783 views)
Tasted by Dominic Roy on 6/4/2022 & rated 87 points: Nose: Dark fruits. Vanilla.

Palate: Blackberry. Spice. Blueberry. Dark cherry. Vanilla. Medium plus tannins. Medium acidity. Medium plus body. Medium plus intensity. Medium finish.

Good wine! Decant for 1h before drinking. Drink now to 2027. (1879 views)
Tasted by to_sty on 3/5/2022 & rated 89 points: As others mentioned before - drinking really well right now. Would still recommend some decanting ! (2168 views)
Tasted by WineGalDT on 3/1/2022 & rated 90 points: Drinking well! Great value - would definitely buy it again. (1766 views)
Tasted by Old Wine Maven on 11/1/2021: Excellent almost every day wine. A notch above Perrin's Cotes du Rhones, and drinking very well right now. Dark fruits, well balances alcohol and oak. Super good value. (2347 views)
Tasted by footloosiety on 10/15/2021 & rated 90 points: An excellent 'daily drinker', as are many of the wines from famille Perrin. (2301 views)
Tasted by richshoes on 9/20/2021 & rated 89 points: This bottle has moments of brilliance, particularly with food, where it echoes its familial grandeur. At its best, velvety, feminine, dark fruit with cassis and plum...but sometimes uneven with strong streaks of bell pepper (2147 views)
Tasted by Poisey on 8/26/2021 & rated 89 points: Decanted 2 hrs. Olive, new oak and bright red fruit. Smooth and soft. Tart minerality fruit filled finish. Drink now-2024. (1727 views)
Tasted by richshoes on 8/14/2021 & rated 88 points: Sometimes the wine is so good--medium bodied with nice deep layered tannins...dark fruit, herbal...but other times it is consistent with its price point and uneven (1936 views)
Tasted by VlgJeff on 4/19/2021 & rated 87 points: Slo-oxed for 15 minutes. A light ruby color with some light red fruits on the nose. The medium to minus bodied palate showed the light red fruits, along with some earth, a touch of spice, and relatively balancing acidity. Maybe more air (see CJSadler, below) would allow the wine to show its full character. To us it was a wine with a "soft" presence, from a long-standing Rhone family, that you'll want to drink in the next year or two. (1925 views)
Tasted by wdlohr on 3/30/2021 & rated 88 points: medium red body, aromas of bright cherries and acidity. delicate entry but rough crisp tannin (1967 views)
Tasted by Professional-wined-up-merchant on 3/29/2021 & rated 88 points: Excellent QPR, exactly what you want from what was formerly CDR village. Punchy fruit with that unmistakable garrigue/pepper, sadly only 11 bottles left. Don't age, will keep for a few more years. (1898 views)
Tasted by gsomers on 3/16/2021 & rated 88 points: Very nice $15 Rhone drinking very well after a decant & pour. Better than the $35 Les Pallieres Racine we had last night, so an extra point for QPR. Thin, but very pleasant. Enjoy! (2167 views)
Tasted by EXPLORER 825 on 2/28/2021 & rated 92 points: Elegant and smooth Syrah-Grenache blend. Agree with WS with 92 rating...would buy again. (2136 views)
Tasted by cjsadler on 2/16/2021 & rated 91 points: Prior to a 3 hour decant, this was just a middling Rhone. It finally opened up, with a nose of violets and some nice dark berry fruit; good acid balance. Very good QPR. 14.1% per the label, which seems about right. (1944 views)
 Tasted by 69Voltage on 2/12/2021 & rated 92 points: A 92 from WS

Going to be an abbreviated review after a long, "one of those days" on the course.

PnP. Easy drinker. Nice fruit on the tongue, medium tannins, acidity and finish. For $18, it’s a "duh".

Tasted by Caruso on 1/24/2021 & rated 92 points: Well, ten months ago I liked it more since th e nose was showing more intensity. Since than it calmed down a bit, but it still remains more than a solid, well made cotes du rhone. What I really like is the freshness provided by the minty, herbal notes combined with the dark berry, strawberry fruit. 5/12/17/8. -2028 (2011 views)
Tasted by C.W.Birdies on 1/20/2021: Pretty good value Rhone blend. Was expecting a more bold and flavorful wine as nose is more powerful than the flavors, which seemed a bit muted

3.0 (1784 views)
Tasted by PEhrhardt on 12/20/2020 & rated 85 points: Angenehmer Wein, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Angenehme Frucht, aber nicht sehr intensiv. (2370 views)

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.
