Quite warm. Needs a few minutes to open. Very nice. (1700 views) | | Tasted by Grinner on 4/16/2022 & rated 91 points: PHMG WAG Paso Robles (Paso Lyon): This $55 wine would be $100 in Napa, and less hot! The 16% etoh is a bit out of balance BUT there's great depth of fruit and tannin to try and rope it in. Currants, blackberry, spices and earth go on and on. Now-2030. (2245 views) | | Tasted by lvepicure on 4/24/2021 & rated 89 points: A well made Cabernet prototypical of the Paso region. But, doesn't warrant the Reserve name or extra money. Drink like a slightly less concentrated regular Justin Cabernet. No real complexity or tannins to say, "Wow! This is so much better." Nose of creme de cassis, mint, and dark black fruit. Not much in the way of structure or tertiary notes. Palate much the same, plush, fruity, heat from the 16% alcohol. After an hour the typical stewed cooked fruit element comes out, not very elegant. For the price, much better can be had. Not reserve in any way! (3837 views) | | Tasted by EllisWine on 4/22/2021 & rated 94 points: Huge nose of dark fruit with a touch of mint, gargantuan mouth filling dark fruit, long, long gentle tannic finish (3064 views) | | Tasted by djrobsd on 2/12/2021 & rated 90 points: This wine says wow I’m a big boy and I’ve grown up from the grocery store Justin Cabernet. It’s so delicious, smooth velvety plum, vanilla and sweet oak. No grippy tannins here. Enjoy! (3164 views) | | Tasted by BPorthouse on 11/3/2020: The 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best Paso Robles Cabernets available. Crafted from the same quality fruit as our flagship ISOSCELES blend, and made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is a Cabernet lover’s dream. This wine is bold and complex with ripe black fruit, sweet spice and that classic Cabernet mix of savory and herbal character. Its structural texture keeps this wine balanced and fresh from its beginning through its very long, complex finish. (2332 views) |

| Justin Vineyards & Winery Producer websiteCabernet SauvignonCabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.
Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet SauvignonReserve The Wine News | Wine Country This Week | Wine Lover's PageUSAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Coasthttp://www.ccwinegrowers.org/links.html
