On the palate herbs, vanilla from the oak, mild acidity, some sweetness and slightly sticky tannin. (875 views) | | Tasted by graemeg on 12/14/2022: {screwcap, 14.5%} Solid garnet. Proper nose and palate for this classic blend, more in the old-school mould. Not so much oak, a fruit-driven example of curranty cabernet and plummy shiraz. Not spicy, not green, not cocktail! Subtle, hardly apparent oak. Medium weight, with fine dusty tannins, medium but pointy acid, medium weight. Slightly patchy palate, medium finish. Will age OK, but I think the palate will always stay a bit spotty as far as coverage goes. Decent enough, not spectacular. But it's a weeknight, so...
