Toutefois, rien de transcendant. Peut-être en dormance (385 views) | | Tasted by Canoehead on 6/30/2023 & rated 91 points: PnPd, classic cassis and vanilla of an oaked Cab Sauv. There is a degree of complexity here that may also be rewarded with a couple of more years of cellar time. The acid and the tannins need a little comingling time with the ripe fruit and highish alcohol. A decent effort here. (388 views) | | Tasted by Auxonic on 3/8/2023 & rated 90 points: A nice clean Cabernet Sauvignon. Still very young, oak a bit sharp. I liked it but another decade would probably do good things. Will let it breath and keep sipping. (449 views) | | Tasted by Inukytucky on 6/19/2021 & rated 87 points: Quite a bit smokier this vintage. (1033 views) | | Tasted by Vino Loco on 10/23/2020 & rated 90 points: Dark fruit - super young but think this is going to be an amazing wine in 5 + years. Buy some and set it aside. (1286 views) |

| Burrowing Owl Producer WebsiteCabernet SauvignonCabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.
Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet SauvignonCanadahttps://www.winegrowerscanada.ca/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_wineBritish Columbia Wines of British Columbia (British Columbia Wine Institute)Okanagan Valley Okanagan Valley (British Columbia Wine Institute)Okanagan Valley VQA Okanagan Valley (British Columbia Wine Institute)
