Tasted by ATBridge on 7/29/2015: Rustic wine with pleasant, and mature fruit. Needs food. Drinking now with limited upside. (2705 views)
Tasted by Tony Molester on 11/26/2013: No recollection when I drank this but it was this year, good but not great was my impression. Significant astringency.
Drink. (3162 views)
Tasted by cfe on 9/19/2010 & rated 90 points: Last bottle. SHowed beautifully with smoked pork crown roast. Earthy and barnyard armoas, fully open and resolved on the palate, nice complexity of aged fruit and earth notes. Very enjoyable. (4159 views)
Tasted by cfe on 10/25/2009: Matched with a wild mushroom bisque, this wine paired perfectly, showing damp earth, tree bark, all of the aged Bendo aromas...nicely balanced on the palate, medium weight, balanced acidity, and persistent finish. The wine is in no danger of going over the hill, but I'm not sure it will get any better. A lovely pairing. (4265 views)
Tasted by agnorger on 9/11/2006 & rated 93 points: Fabulous wine. Not supposed to be a 10 yr cellar candidate but as it took on air the complexity just grew and grew. I look forward to the later vintages I have. (4907 views)
Tasted by winefool on 3/1/2001 & rated 88 points: Racy deep red color, full bodied. Forward aromas of black fruit and tobbaco leaf. Tobacco nuances follow on the firm but subtle tannic frame. 3/01 (3120 views)

Domaine Tempier

Producer website

U.S. Importer (Addt'l Info)

Domaine Tempier is located at Le Plan du Castellet. Its vineyards stretch over three different communities- Le Castellet, Le Beausset and La Cadière. The plots of land are thus far apart and require extra work. But the soil of these different areas yield distinctive cuvées -Spéciale, Migoua, Tourtine and Cabassaou - as well as interesting and complex blends for white, rosé and red wines.
Domaine Tempier owns 30 hectares. It produces AOC Bandol exclusively - an average of 68% red, 29% rosé and 3% white wines, approximately 120,000 bottles per year
