Tasted by #1 or #2? on 11/28/2020 & rated 88 points: slowly making my way through a case of these... no doubt the 05s are well on and past their prime. but i have to say there's still something left in the tank here, making it interesting. on the nose, some cherry, herbaceous tones, asian spices, and a notable sweet almost port-like note lingers. very little acidity remaining so it's very soft now and lacking the structure or crispness that it once had. that said, i'm always happy to come back to one of burrowing owl's best CF offerings from the 2000s.  Tasted by eelgerg on 9/24/2010 & rated 90 points: Wowowow fruit jam bomb. Both on the nose and on the palate. (3011 views)
Tasted by eelgerg on 4/9/2010 & rated 91 points: Beautiful wine. dark ruby colour with cherry rim. and I mean REAL cherry rim. Nice nose of berry fruits. Soft expansive initial mouth of strawberry, light tannins. Can't wait for #2 (3062 views)
Tasted by Ryan D on 3/12/2008: An easy drinking red. Personally, I found this wine a bit too over extracted. Very deep colors, very intense aromas and very jammy in the mouth. My drinking companion, however, quite enjoyed it. For those that enjoy new world wines for the 'fruit-explosion' they offer, this is for you. If you're looking for a more restrained wine, I'd steer clear of this. (3411 views)
